What kind of stupid rule is that? Can't use armor on the Hotel!? Why not declare the USMC can only attack the hotel with medic/supply bags? That's just plain dumb! The armor is an asset and it should be used. At most from that range you can only take guess shots at the hotel anyway, but why should armor not be able to roll in and suppress the enemy so the flag can be taken? If that's the case, then the MECs should not be allowed to spawn at the hotel to give the USMC a chance to get to the flag. And if I'm there as armor I see you spawn as AT or SO and I'm just supposed to let you go? Heck no! You spawn there once, you see the armor, you spawn somewhere else so you're not killed repeatedly.ReTox wrote:
Was it Moongamer's Karkand 24/7?
If you use armour to shoot at the hotel or gas station spawns it is base raping and you will be kicked. The rule is plainly there in the server rules. There is nothing stopping you from doing it somewhere else (market, factory) but on that server (if that is where you were playing) they'll kick for raping the hotel. And the admins are not kiddies.
It's not a stupid rule when you actually think about it. It says Spawn camping, not killing at the hotel.
Sitting in one spot directly at a spawn point with an APC or tank is so freakin' easy to rack up points that it could be called stat padding. So they ask you to roll up take a few shots then move on. If you camp it you get kicked.
First you say "If you use armour to shoot at the hotel or gas station spawns it is base raping and you will be kicked."
When you use the term "...at the hotel..." that clearly describes the photo I posted. I am shooting at the Hotel area where people spawn. However, I was not shooting at the spawn point or spawn camping AKA racking up points. I was shooting in the street providing defensive position for commander assets.
Show me in that photo where I am spawn camping? You have to camp at a spawn point in order to spawn camp. That means that spawn point must be in view.
If you said "camping", then sure that's what the photo shows. However, it's not camping at a spawn point. In that photo there is no spawn point in view nor targeted. Therefore, you are incorrect in saying it's spawn camping. Again, you applied the term incorrectly.
Now you say:
"Sitting in one spot directly at a spawn point with an APC or tank is so freakin' easy to rack up points that it could be called stat padding. So they ask you to roll up take a few shots then move on. If you camp it you get kicked."
I am sorry but what does that have to do with the pic I provided to show the senerio of how I got kicked? I didn't roll up down that street took a few shots and left. I was no where near that area and was closer to our artillery then the spawn point.
