Once again you should not get kick if it is not an uncap base (or there last flag while your team is not trying to take the flag) IMHO .  The US team really has no chance of taking that hotel flag with out camping the spawns points in the begging of a round.

The key is your team trying to take the flag or are you camping with no intention of capturing it, but the admin wont make that distinction.

Yeah.... but he's not waiting for someone to spawn. Well he is, but only in the sense that people wait for other people to spawn to kill them at any point of a game.... as in the whole idea of the game.

In my opinion it is NOT baserape, as he is not pointing at a spawnpoint and waiting for someone to spawn and instantly kill them. As long as the example image is relatively accurate to where he was in the game, I would say the admin was wrong to kick him. He is not going to kill someone the instant they spawn; in fact he is in a vulnerable position, where an AT could easily spawn (and not be killed by him instantly) and get to a safe position to take him out.

explain?! I don't really understand what you all take baserape to be.... I take it to be where it is impossible for you to spawn and make an attempt at taking another flag, as you are simply inavoidably going to die. This is certainly not the case in this screenshot, as people can easily spawn and get to another flag without dieing.... his APC isn't even in a particularly effective position.

How was he camped in one location with a tank? I mean how can you not be in one location with a tank.... you aren't going to be constantly moving are you?? Normally it is actually a bad move by tanks or APCs to stay still, as they are VERY vulnerable to AT, or C4. This is the case in this screenie...



Sorry for ranting a bit, I hate baserape and spawnrape A LOT, I have it done to me a lot, and it is fuckin infuriatin. But this is definitely not spawnrape, and in my opinion far off being baserape either.

Honestly, I did stop a few special ops, etc  (on the hill) from reaching the artillery area.  Maybe one of them was the admin. Later on a stopped a few on the street.  None of them ever spawned into a anti armor.  I was there for a 2 minutes (being a spawn point) before getting kicked.

If you use armour to shoot at the hotel or gas station spawns it is base raping and you will be kicked.  The rule is plainly there in the server rules.  There is nothing stopping you from doing it somewhere else (market, factory) but on that server (if that is where you were playing) they'll kick for raping the hotel.  And the admins are not kiddies.

LOL so if you shoot at the hotel (in the general area where people spawn like the photo I supplied) using armor on that server you get kicked?  That's really lame.  So tell me what is the tactic you use with armor at the hotel?  I guess you simply have to drive by Hotel taking fire and if you return fire (not at the spawn points) the admin will kick you. That sounds very childish to me!

If you use armour to shot AT the Hotel, etc it's base raping?  Kinda stretching the definition of base raping aren't you?  So if I cannot get past the Hotel with armor (because 2 anti tankers can take you out) then I have to stay south of the Hotel (like the example in the photo).  But if I stay there I am base raping as well.  Why don't they just make their server an IO server if they want to hamper use of the USA armor!

What kind of stupid rule is that?  Can't use armor on the Hotel!?  Why not declare the USMC can only attack the hotel with medic/supply bags?  That's just plain dumb!  The armor is an asset and it should be used.  At most from that range you can only take guess shots at the hotel anyway, but why should armor not be able to roll in and suppress the enemy so the flag can be taken?  If that's the case, then the MECs should not be allowed to spawn at the hotel to give the USMC a chance to get to the flag.  And if I'm there as armor I see you spawn as AT or SO and I'm just supposed to let you go?  Heck no!  You spawn there once, you see the armor, you spawn somewhere else so you're not killed repeatedly.

It's not a stupid rule when you actually think about it.  It says Spawn camping, not killing at the hotel. 

Sitting in one spot directly at a spawn point with an APC or tank is so freakin' easy to rack up points that it could be called stat padding.  So they ask you to roll up take a few shots then move on.  If you camp it you get kicked.

Since the server is almost always full it doesn't seem to bother too many people.

As someone who knows just about every spawn point on that map I can tell you that from that spot you are not capable of shooting any of the spawn points and therefore under no circumstances would that ever be considered baseraping. That server should instantly lose it's ranked status.

I think that if you are sitting in that same place and peeps are spawning and you are shooting them or blowing them up. then it is wrong. Nice way to get quick points, wink,wink,wink, I mean that is so wrong. so ya in the end that is spawn killing and that is wrong.
