Filling out a form for a job at CO-OP Supermarket and have a question

"Do you have proof of your entitlment to work in the UK" , would a national Insurance card do?

Also would a friend count as a refrence?

I don't know the answer to your question since I live in the US but when they ask questions like that here, they usually only want to see proof if your an alien or something like that.

You will have to give your NI number, but unless they suspect something 'proof' is not usually required.

You could put a friend down as a reference, but they wont take it very seriously as they will (probably correctly) assume a friend will big you up. The normal one if its a first job is a neighbour or friend of the family especially if they work in certain jobs (teacher, council, police, professional). Basically they probably want someone to say your not a trouble maker, have a good attitude etc... from someone they don't think will say it just to help you get a job.

Other job boss (that you were sound with obviously)
local vicar

Finished the form, will get it handed in tomorow, if i dont get that one i will try a call center and another 2 supermarkets 15 miles away, anything to get my computer going again.

when i left school i worked in a factory, labouring for the steel feeders, £2.00/hr!

..Best thing todo is realistically get some sort of qualifications at college (if u already arent doing so)

Ive got em' comin out me ears, most of mean jack-shite but it leads to better things. Trust me I was stuck in a dead end job, then went to college and by 'eck Im now a engineer for BMW!
