Hi

I have just installed Special Forces, every ok.
But when I try to start up the game I get this message
"mods/bf2/shaders/lightning.fx not found!!!_DO_check your working directory,_AND_sync your
shaders folder before calling upon your local rendering programmer/GP. (really!)"

Need help here!

Use search next time..

You need to install the full 1.41 patch, this has happened quite a bit mate.

One more question, how about weapons unlock? I have 2 more unlocks left in BF2 but does that mean that I can only get 2 Special Forces weapons with me into BF2. Or is it possible to unlock all weapons in both BF2 and BF2SF?

Unlocks can be used for all weapons, but the SF weapon unlocks can only be used in normal BF2 (yes, that indeed doesn't make any sense)
You need to unlock a normal weapon before an SF weapon though. (e.g. L85A2 first and after that the G36E)

i got the same message (i think), right now i try to reinstall vanilla and then SF, and lastly 1.41, should it work?

cannot anyone make an "SF installation issues" topic and make it sticky, it's needed

edit: i had 1.41 installed before but i think i need to do it in that order, right?

for each rank you get 2 unlock points and if you play special forces after a few ranks you will still get the extra points that you got in the earlier ranks.
i think that what you wanted to know...
