I engineered the skill of L85 pwnage... commandos got shit on me with the L85. I use it on full auto ALL THE TIME. The trick is learning to tap out single shot bursts effectively. Once you get that down you can pracice tapping out conrolled triple or double shots at medium range w/ the scope. I only unscope at close quarters/ sometimes a bit farther and do controlled 3-4 burst shots to the face.
So far the only person I know in bf2 who has been able to handle the brunt of USMC full frontal assault on a 64 player server soley with the L85 has been RiceKrispie. I've always played w/ Rice but he hasn't always used the L85. He started using it one day while playin in my squad and I was just floored, it was like there was a clone of me backing my ass up. His style was so close to mine except I was a bit more run and gun and he was more calculated. Still it was epic.
If u learn the burst scatter on this gun and how and when to use the scope, it is without question the best AR in bf2. Theres far more depth in skills that need to be learned when compared to the AK. I've used the AK alot and even in BFPro its effective only to a certain range. After this range it only comes down to blind popping off single-double that dont land with any known consistency. If the L85 was in BFPro, there is no doubt it would be the preferred weapon of most medics due to its incredible headshot capabilities.
