"fuck all wars" most are about power, greed, land and who has the best religion. Send politicians and generals and the rich to fight as it is usually the poor that ends up dying.
RIP all those who died in this senseless war.
RIP all those people who died in car crashes (my brother was killed in motorcycle crash 9 years ago).
I disagree with the war in Iraq because we are not fighting for our own cause. I do believe war has its benefits though. We cannot stop wars from happening, if we keep doing so it will climax with another world war. The built up energy has to be expelled somehow. If Iran thinks they deserve the entire Middle East, let them fight for it and watch them fall. Ahmadinejad is not a Hitler, maybe a Mussolini. He desires his people's respect and would lose it or at least not gain that of those he defeats if he went to total war with his neighbors.
War is about land, greed, and power. It is a sort of check on the powerful though. Right now no one actually fears war, because all that happens is they lose and their country is rebuilt by the destroyers. I do not understand why we wish to win a war in Iraq that we started and cannot win. In order to win a war you must gain something. There is nothing to be gained by success in Iraq except victory and a further delayed and prolonged war. We are attempting to create another Israel in a land that hates Israel.
Yes, I am "okay with the spectacle that was Saddam's death." We have held many public executions in the past. Do you really think we are better than they are? Do you really think that they would ever follow our (their axis of evil) example? In a perfect world I would not agree with executions, hell I don't at all, rotting in a cell for life is more of a punishment than death. Saddam never feared death, I can guarantee you that. If he did he would have never been the big meany that he was. That execution though is only our second glimpse of success over there though, that execution shows the people of Iraq that the government might work.
Terrorists have ideals and morals and ethics too. They are not the same as ours, to me at least, this does not make our war just. Do you really think that they are a new axis of evil? Do you think that they don't think of us as the axis of evil?
Their goal is not to take over the US, but to recreate the Muslim Empire that once existed (before North America existed).
And yes I am new here, but this is not the first post that has justified my response, today I was just bored enough to argue with your type. I see people like you every day and never argue with them. You think you are smart, but you still have no perception of reality.
I do agree they can't be trusted with WMDs, but we have to suffer the consequences before the rest of the world agrees. Biological weapons scare me as much as the next person (I'll bet you that our axis of evil fears them as much as me and you), but we can not prevent them by ourselves or at all. With the help of the entire world we could not stop this doom. Look at the US, we have our own WMDs all over. Pharmaceutical companies have their own biological weapons. Why should we trust them? Why should the rest of the world trust them?
