I know some famous people myself. They are just people. They hurt just like me. They are weak just like me.
Jesus wasn't a God when he walked the earth, or was he?
It was  his teachings documented by his followers that made him famous, and political manipulation of his name and disciples that gave him permanence.
All these prophets and crap just confuse me.
I'm not throwing him out. I'm just saying I think he was flesh and blood.
Just not enough evidence kicking around to see him as GOD.
I think I'll just go bang my head against the wall and see if something happens.
Maybe I'll have a vision.

I wanna go back in time, run up to him with a baseball bat, wack him on the head, shout 'WHAT NOW BITCH', then go to another point in time after that when he's still alive, see the shock on his face, and then kill him.

Just to see if God would make another son for the sake of Christianity's existence.

Influential human political activist and sect leader/reformer of the jewish religion.

A.N. Wilson deals with the realities and probablities best in my opinion (his book 'Jesus' is in stores NOW!)

Gardeners over here are generally called Wojzcek...

jesus was just a man. he was not god (hence the "trinity"). he was only flesh and blood and he prayed to god (so they are not one in the same). after resurrection he ascended to heaven and then i guess you could say he took on his god-esque form/power.

He was a great performer, and he knew how to talk to people, but he was flesh and blood, and some wine perhaps.

Where i live, there are alot of gardeners named jesus.
I've never understood why the Hispanic peoples of North America aren't pissed about being conquested by Europeans and having the Catholic religion rammed down their necks. Many were named Jesus in mass ceremonies.

I personally think they should revive Aztec rituals to the Sun God in Mexico City.

why do you think im not religous.  i was born catholic, babtised and went all the way to my 1st communion when my mom let me decide what beliefs i should have.  i could honestly say, i must have been 8 years old when i figured out this shit.  the only reason i was catholic was because of blood and steel from generations prior.   the same thing goes for muslims and jews and what not.  islam isnt the only religion that spreads by FEAR and WRATH.

1st post of the year, broke my resolution already

He was half mortal (being born of Mary) and half immortal (being sired by God).  This was necessary so he could freely give his life (because no, neither Pilate or the entire roman army could kill him).  Upon giving up his life as a ransom for sin and physical death, he was resurrected (the spirit retaking the body, and the the two becoming perfected, exalted, never to be separated again), and he is now an exalted, perfected being..or diety as God is.

Null vote.  No choice for both as an answer.  God exists in spirit form and when Jesus came to earth, He took on a body.  So He did get hungry, cry, laugh, hurt, experience temptation etc etc just like the rest of us.

So we all agree that Jesus existed in human form.  God or not is the question.  If evidence is provided that Jesus is God would any of you acknowledge Him as such?

I bet you he was like Hercules. You know, half man half god.

And he could do that whole stop-time and walk around shit.

That's how he does all his miracles.

That Jesus shaped almost half the world we know today with just words, and this some 2000 years ago when there weren't things like mass media, is undoubtely an accomplishment that hasen't been topped yet. That he made people beleive in him so much as to face lions in Roman arenas is also pretty darn impressive. Those roman times were alot of fun, we don't have things like that much more...

He was the equivalent to a charismatic politician (HAHA) today. Every word he spoke was taken as truth to the people who liked him and some others saw him as a complete loony.

The people that liked him got him well known for awhile but in the end the others got to him and he was taken down like the normal human he was.

Imagine if back in his prime G.Dub said he was the son of god. Someone would have believed him and it would've escalated from there...oh wait.

Which half of the world did he shape 2000 years ago? His influence certainly didn't reach India, Russia, China, most of Africa, or any civilization in the western hemisphere until several hundred years later. You can't seriously consider parts of the Middle East and eastern Europe as half the world.

He was a hell of a magiciam: making the crippled walk, making the blind see, raising the dead. Hmm, I bet it's nothing special, [sarcasm] anyone could probably do it [/sarcasm].

Technically, according to the Bible, Jesus was the son of God, not God himself. He was born to a virgin mother in whom God planted the seed for the child to be born.

In other words, he was the best excuse for the old "I have no idea how I'm pregnant honey I swear! I've only ever slept with you (or I'm a virgin)!"  story in the history of humanity.
