Having seemingly solving my mouse woes with a full reinstall and a new mouse, I decided to try and learn to fly.

However, whenever I get IN a chopper as the pilot, I go up and the thing veers off to the left and crashes. Nothing I do with the mouse corrects it, and all I'm doing is pressing 'accelerate'. Is this a bug, a glitch, or just a learning curve?

I always make sure the bar across the middle is straight.  Other than that its just practice for me.  I'm not very good though.

I can't remember if there's a setting to use mouse and keyboard, or just the keyboard, but if there is that's probably your problem. If not, you're not correcting correctly apparently because there is no bug like that that I'm aware of. And I fly quite a bit and that has never happened to me.
