SF is worth it, and not only for Warlord, but: Iron Gator, Ghost Town, Surge, Mass Destruction, Leviathan, Devil's Perch and Night Flight. Did i forget any?

No thats all of them

Personally I like Surge a bit better then Mass Destruction, but both are great maps, and so is all in SF, maybe except Leviathan and Night Flight, good maps but I haven't really got the super feeling when playing them...

yeas i just check your stats, think you only played 6 maps and havn't even fired a bullet in anger as PLA. I would sugest you give the other maps ago rather than Karkand, its your game though....

I don't think it would really be accurate to say that top snipers favour Karkand as a map; I'm playing it again now that no-vehicle mode has given it a fresh lease on life but if you snipe just there you don't know what sniping is. Don't overlook Mashtuur, the visibility may be crap there too but there's still sniping to be had and at the very least it's a break from Karkand 24/7!

Sharqi's a great sniper's map, my personal fav, but I'd have to say it's not the best sniping map.

If you want long-range shooting opportunities most of the vanilla maps have nearly unlimited visibility, restricted only by your graphics card... including the four best PLA maps: Wake, FuShe, Dragon, Daqing. There's also Kubra Dam and Oman. It's usually overlooked but Operation Clean Sweep is quite good too.

And with IO all the maps can be played from a fresh perspective, if you can find a server running them.

Just for Warlord? IMO, no (although it is the SF map for sniping for most of us) but for SF overall, definitely. Lots of good sniping to be had in many maps and if you're pretty good you can make a worthwhile contribution on most of them.

I think that's what it's supposed to do but I don't know, I don't load SF maps from vanilla, or vice versa. I quit and restart if I want to go from one to the other.

As already said, zipline. Which is a great addition in terms of gameplay... and it comes with badges to go for if you're into that.

i feel like i should be appologising.

i was the same with 1942, where i played the city maps e.g. berlin & stalingrad, i just prefer the intensity of the urban infantry maps, mainly as you don't have to travel great distances to the front or struggle to compete with pilots.

whatever floats your boat i guess.

I was an SF whore before I got BF2142 and I loved snipers on SF, easy kills.

Actually, they dont. The SAS get the M24 as their default weapon. Which is strange.

Although the EU get the L96A1 by default.
