Don't put Argentina in the same bag with the rest of Latin America.  I'm not being elitist, but it's the truth.  We are a rich country and these Human Rights violations are the same that are committed in any country in the World, like US.  Sadly, the Human Rights organizations have no power to make the difference.

Well, it is true that Argentina is more prosperous than most of South America, but there are many similarities between it and Brazil -- at least from what I've read.  Obviously, you know more about Argentina than I do.  However, I think it's fair to say that, economically, your country is rather shaky.  There is also plenty of poverty there, which leads to crime and human rights violations.

Of course, America has this same poverty to a lesser extent.
