Hy guys and most likely few girls

i'm new to this forum, saw that is still active and people are visiting all the time.
Adressin you with my problem with BF2 and that is after reinstalling BF2 for the first time after i bought original key(in my contry that is hard to get) and i'v apllied the 1.41 patch everything working good but noticed one problem '' after you shoot to somebody each time you can clearly saw an x over the crosshair as a sign of confirmation that you hit some one'' in my case there's no more of that.
Don't know is the problem with the in game settings or what, i'v tried to change settings concerning crroshair collor or transparency???
Is it possible that changing collor and transparency affects and brings up my problem?? Me and rest of my guys tried to disscus this problem but with no success.
Please someone tell me or explain how to deal with no shoot confirmation ??
Many of my crew suggests that reinstal BF2 wil be best for me, but i think thats a last resort.

Is there any chances that new 1.41 patch brings up this problem???

Are you saying that you are shooting at people ingame, but you don't hit them while you're absolutely sure you hit them?
If that's the problem you should check your ping.

Use a grenade.  If you still don't get the x, then something's wrong.

It's not a 1.41 issue at least. I've recently reinstalled both windows and BF2+SF+EF with 1.41 patch and the X is there. Perhaps you have some new ATI drivers? A friend of mine is still trying to use ATI and he sees people floating in the air and when they come closer a helicopter appears around them. Same with tanks, a guy comes hoovering the ground and cannot be shot and suddenly there's a tank around him
Thank god I don't have that problem

hey i have the same problem , i shoot somone and the X never comes up to indicate that i hit them , WOrks fine when i hit people and kill them with the gernade - it shows up , sometimes i can c it with a sniper really quick tho after the reload becuase its bolt sniper . But when i shoot somone with any wepon AUTO SINGLE of any type never shows up - huh that leaves me wondering.

well ya id say reinstall is your best bet, in the time that you've been waiting for replies you couldve uninstalled
reinstalled and be playing by now, so i suggest go reinstall

its a server side setting controlled through BF2CC. Some servers have it enabled and some dont. So don't let it drive you crazy trying to turn it on because unless you have control of your servers BF2CC, you cant.

Eh ?? I run BFCC and havent come across this setting at all.
