See folks; the mods are alright.
I gather we are free to discuss it again, as long as Bernadictus doesn't get annoyed.

What if the Komodo dragon, about to give virgin birth, produced triplets: Baby Jesus, Baby Mohammed and Baby Cohen?
The divine triplets would descend on Temple Mount and construct there... the UN headquarters.
Peace then, maybe?

I know it's kinda off topic but just to follow up my point:rawls2 wrote:

If it is so as you say those soldiers will be dealt with. Unlike the societies you endorse that would have made those soldiers out to be heroes if they would have killed western children.
Just like alll those Palestinian martyrs who go to heaven for killing Israeli children on school busses.A ringing endorsement if ever I saw one. Fuckin hell. Some people show incredibly low levels of intelligence and capacity for rational thought in general.CameronPoe wrote:

They should really be facing prosecution in, or extradition following prosecution to, Iraq. The fact that the results of the investigation to see if the chain of command covered up the incident have not been made public is unsettling too.rawls wrote:

What's the maximum sentence for dereliction of duty? It doesn't seem like an adequate charge to cover mass murder.

Ridiculous.
The day the start letting foriegn governments try our boyz for anything is the day I start voting with explosives.

So we have no need for international courts? If I committed a crime in the USA, you wouldn't mind me being tried in Finland?ATG wrote:

No. That's how American justice works. One set of rules for Americans another set for everyone else. Fairness and legality doesn't come into it.SpaceApollyon wrote:

You could take the extradition treaty between the UK and the US as an example. The UK honours the treaty and extradites prisoners to the US when necessary. The US do not.
Internation coursts to try our soldiers?SpaceApollyon wrote:

US soldiers/citizens (neither other nationalities by the way) should NOT have diplomatic immunity, which are the same as beeing trialed in your own courts by your own laws. Adapt to the laws and culture in the countries that you visit, simple as that.

Israeli security forces killed 660 Palestinians in 2006 - three times more than in 2005, according to an Israeli human rights group.
B'Tselem, which monitors human rights in the occupied territories, said the figure included 141 children.
At least 322 had taken no part in hostile acts, the group said.
In the same period, the number of deadly Palestinian attacks on Israelis has fallen - 23 Israelis were killed in 2006 compared with 50 last year.
As of November, 9,075 Palestinians were being held in Israeli jails. This number included 345 minors, it said.
Of these, 738 (22 minors) were being detained without trial and without knowing the charges against them, the group said.

Hey Cameron, You just proved one of my theories. There is an inverse relationship with regards to Palestinian deaths and Israeli deaths. Palestinain death's = 1 / Israeli Deaths or vice versa. Meaning the more Palestinians killed the less Israelis are killed. Hmmm...interesting.
Yeah, let's kill 'em all so the Israelis can live in peace.rawls2 wrote:

Ironic that a nation populated predominantly by Jews are practicing an admittedly slow and unsystematic genocide of others but a genocide nonetheless.

Tell me Poe... when Terrorists shot RPG at tank from Mosque and the tank fire back... its genocide?
No that isn't. But firing artillery into civilian populated areas is. Or firing shells from boats at crowded beaches where people are having picnics. Another similarity to atrocities of the past include the fact that Gaza and the various sectors of the West Bank are effectively large open air concentration camps or 'Warsawesque' ghettos. Shameful.
