Many people may have probably noticed the painstakingly horrible task of removing the history one by one. I personally hate the clutter; makes it look disgusting. I was scouting through my personal data files and, through careful but experimental curiousity, I have found a way to wipe the whole list clean. "Let's move!"

Section 1: Getting to the Profiles Folder.

First, go to your "My Documents" folder, followed by "/Battlefield 2/Profiles". Now here you will see a few files and maybe more than two folders, depending on how many registered accounts you have. These folders are designated as such:

Now, this is where it gets hard. You may or may not have an idea which profile is which. Now you might have just one profile, so that makes this easy, so skip the next section. If you have multiple profiles, however, read on through section 2.

Section 2: Determining Your Profile Number.

Double click the first profile (Should be 0001). You should see multiple *.con files. Open them in Notepad and set them to always read from Notepad. Now open Profiles.con. You should see a similar image:

Before you ask, no, I'm not going to even give a section of my password's MD5 hash (although you would need the whole thing to crack it). But this shows you the vital information: your account name. If this is the profile that you would wish to clear your favorites history on, continue on into this profile. If not, go to the next one and continue similarly.

Section 3: Down to Business.

Now that you have located your correct profile, you're on the right track. Open up your General.con file. Now I guarantee you that if you do anything wrong in this file, you WILL screw it up, so make a backup just to be safe.

Scroll down until you hit the following section:

Now delete the highlighted lines (the ones with the section.subsection name of "GeneralSettings.AddServerHistory") and save. You have successfully erased your history without having to do them one by one! Congratulations!

This trick can be used as many times as you want and greatly reduces the amount of time consumed just to delete these history marks.

Enjoy!
