I just reinstalled bf:special forces and everytime I install it(i have done it twice not to see if it would fix itself) I keep getting this error.

It has something to do with the patch you are on... I don't remember the whole thing...

search for a manual reinstall


There is a how to stickied somewhere... check the help section.

You say you have already uninstalled it.... manual reinstall is different- a standard reinstall leaves  behind a lot of files, manual reinstall removes everything BF2 related.

Man, you're not alone. I have the same problem, and nobody can help me. I don't know why, but i'm fo damn angry becouse of this shit. I have bought SF today. With the money of my grandma. She has gave me the money for some presents. But SF is'nt a present. It sux. IT FKING SUCK0RS!!!!!!!! HELP ME!!!!

I had the same problem 1 hour ago, all I did was install 1.41 twice and it worked.

Okay people. This is the third thread today regarding this same topic.  You need to install the newest patch 1.41 I believe. You will get this everytime you install, uninstall and reinstall any BF2 game.  Please pass this along to everyone else.
