fuck political correctness. if people cant take a little bit of my holiday cheer, fuck them. seriously.

political correctness is all supposed to be about being unoffensive. well, happy winter blah blah blah is offensive to me. why can't it be merry christmas? why? i say happy hanukah to my jewish pals, and merry christmas to everybody else. even my muslim and buddist and whatever else friends don't care. they say it back. many of them celebrate christmas as a time of family togetherness. in fact, i don't think i know a single person who doesnt celebrate christmas or hanukah. some, like me, even celebrate both.

getting offended at every little thing causes every single problem in this world, not counting those caused by pure and simple stupidity.
You shouldn't get offended at every little thing.

I love the irony. Some get offended by the use of words by others who are offended by the use of words. But, if some wish to use a term that isn't 'Christmas', than that should be fine. What business is it of others to insist that they use the traditional term of 'Christmas'?

That's the spirit.

Could we say "Happy Boxing Day Eve"?

Anyway, it's Christmas Day here now. A lovely overcast summer's day. I hope you all have a nice day, and I hope Santa is good to you

May you be filled with joy in whatever holdiay you celebrate during this time of the year(does that work?)

Political correctness sucks ass.

It's like you can't even say " I gotta take a shit" without being politcally correct.  You must say " I need to have an unknown amount of time dedicated to flushing out nutritionally drained, processed feces."

If you want to say Merry Christmas, just say it. This War on Christmas thing is ridiculous. I'm going to start a War On People Taking A Shit On The American Flag, find one guy doing it, and then make millions selling t-shirts and bumper stickers to protest it.

Why not? Christ is the last thing recognized when celebrating Christmas, anyway.

Actually, I think even "happy holidays" is technically politically incorrect now.
Fuck political correctness. Christmas isn't even about religion anymore. Not entering into Christmas spirit is just anti social.

I am glad I've never had anybody saying happy holidays to me, I'd get angry about - which I don't want to be doing at Christmas - I want to be happy and smiley and helpful to people, not telling them what I think of their political correctness.

Exactly. I'm an atheist and I still celebrate Christmas. It's more cultural (or commercial, depending on your level of cynicism) than religious.

It's ironic because without the birth of Christ there would be no Christmas. You can dress it up anyway you want but the celebration of Christmas in any manner originates from the Religion of Christianity.

I think the politically correct just complain for the sake of complaining.

Actually that's not the case. Christmas was a festival long before it was adopted as a Christian celebration and had the name changed. The celebrations were very similar.

Indeed. Here in Finland the name for the holiday is Joulu and the name has nothing to do with religion.
Our Joulu (=Christmas) was originally a celebration of the Winter Solstice.

Hyvää Joulua kaikille!
