Ok, another rare but light hearted topic for all my D&ST brothers. In the spirit of the holiday season

What is your best Christmas memory and favorite present ever received?

As for me? It was Christmas 1981 I was 15. It was the year of that modern video game extravaganza known as the Atari2600. I wanted one. Come Christmas morning we go downstairs and I see a familiar shaped box about the size of the ole'2600. I knew what the box looked like since I have been drooling over it for months in the stores. Just as we started opening gifts the phone rings, it is my dads work calling. They had a shooting and he had to go into work and investigate. Christmas was on hold until he got back home. There we sat until 3 in the afternoon until old man came home, chomping at the bit to tear into our Christmas. It was torture beyond belief. When my dad finally comes home I went straight for that box and there it was, my equivalent of the Red Rider Range Model Air Rifle. I played all night in wondrous awe at the sight of such incredible graphics.Ahhhhhhhhhh, those were the days.

I think it was 97 or 98 when i was maybe 8 or 9, maybe a bit younger. My brother Matt, who is 20 years older than I, got me and my brother Daniel (4 years older than I) a Playstation. We danced around the living room chanting "We got Playstion! We got Playstation!" I was damn happy .

it was 2005, i was about 4 years younger than i am now and my happiest moment was when i opened my brand new asian fleshlight. Fleshlights werent popular a year ago but i was set on having sex with it.

Probably about 13 years ago. My family has land in upstate NY, we went out and got our own tree.

Mine would have to be 2002 when we got robbed on Christmas eve, that was when i found out, that spending time with my family was so much more important and more fun than gifts. We still had a great time without our stuff just playing old board games like scrabble and connect 4.

To be completely honest it was one of the best christmas' ever.

One Christmas, my grandma had bought me both a Super Nintendo and a Sega Genesis. I sat up as long as I was allowed playing Super Mario World, Sonic the Hedgehog and Streets of Rage 2.

This Christmas, socks would be nice. Interesting how priorities change. Maybe its guilt brought upon by extravagant gifts of the past.

Any Christmas before I was a teenager, really. Being a kid during Christmas was a lot funner.

I was taken to a music store around xmas 1982.

I got to select a guitar and an amp for Xmas. I selected a Fender Strat with a locking trem + a Roland amp. Never looked back about the guitar, I could have done a better job selecting the amp

Mine was in 1999. I had been injured in combat that year and was still overseas until October. We came stateside and was told we were redeploying almost immediately. We didnt so I let my family and my girlfriend (now my wife) think I was gone. Im sure you see whats coming....I surprised them xmas morning and the genuine look of care on their faces for seeing me made me finally "get" the whole concept of loving for others. Sometimes we go through the motions of life until we finally one day just understand what happiness is all about. That was my day.

Getting that big ass huge fire engine when I was 3ish. The box was bigger than me and my dad helped me open it. I played with it forever.

Oh, and I was a recipient of that atari 2600 rage too and remember getting it. But then, after 2 days of playing non-stop space invaders...a dog (we bred, raised, showed dobermans) ran over it and broke the cartridge thing and it never worked again. Almost committed suicide that year... lol

The present I remember being the most excited about was getting Streetfighter II for the Sega Megadrive (Genesis in USA). Being a Sega man I always desperately awaited the day it would be released on the Megadrive, Nintendo having stolen a march on Sega to buy the rights and release it months nay years earlier.
