So I am tired of looking at my stats and seeing those stupid purple lines under some of the badges I am eligable for but am too lazy to get. First....is that darn Expert Explosives. I almost had it when you needed 33 kills, I had 31...with a combo of C4 and Clays...and then I got 28 a couple weeks ago....with C4 and Clays again. So do you guys have any tips on where to place the clays or C4?? Any good servers to try and get it in? Just anything that will help haha, cause it destroys my K : D and is VERY frustrating sometimes......

Second is that stupid Expert Engineer...how did you guys get yours? I stopped playing Engineer along time ago because I've been trying to get all the other classes expert. 20 Repair points in one round...that seems almost impossible to me....unless its a 6v6 karkand with 300 tickets or something....but yea how did you guys get yours?? should you be in an apc/tank or a hummer or just repair arty on wake or something??

Warlord, SAS, take third floor, make sure they have second floor. Zipline into second floor, Throw C4 like made. Suicide a few times to get maximum kills. Throw threw windows (works REALLY well) i got my vet in like 5 mins of ownage.

Go to a 24/7 Karkand server. spam clays and C4 to your hearts content, and you'll get it eventually.

Hmm... i'd say play a Sharqi server as an MEC side APC passenger. join the drivers squad and get him to pull out of battle whenever he gets damaged, so you can hop out and repair it. as long as the round lasts longer than 10mins, you'll get it.

expert explosives: try a karkand server with FF off, and just plop c4 at your feet and detonate when youre near an enemy, or spam claymores like a little bitch in the palace on warlord. people will hate you, but you will get it easy enough .make sure mine FF is off, as many servers (wisely) have mine triggers for friendlies on. expert engineer: you can try really hard and have a shitload of bad rounds, or you can exploit to get it like me! join a wake server, preferably as a chinaman, and spawn at a base with a heavy jeep. drive the jeep into shallow water until you start taking damage, hop in a back seat, and repair away! expert engineer in 5 minutes (maybe longer) flat.

Thanks guys...now this is going to sound like a stupid question but Warlord is a Special Forces map if I am not wrong? Once I got expert explosives in there it would transfer over to regular bf2 automatically? For the spamming clays, isn't there a limit of 4 you can place at one time?? Because I used to play sniper and would but one at the little opening to go into the 'yard' at hotel, and then one on both sides (get what I am saying??) and one behind me so that whole little opening is closed off by clays, then when I would place another 1 would disappear....hehe and on the part of the repairing a heavy jeep I might just do that...I think it's nearly impossible to get 20 repair points in one round unless its 5v5 or something with armor.

for the explosives try a karkand game, all claymores.. best if it's one with lot of players, just run into crowds and drop em.. ull die but ull get 3-4 kills at a time.. i got mine on karkand.. actually it wasnt a big game, mec was raping u.s. uncaps.. i kept spawning dropping clays and id get 3 people shoot me down, followed by the 3 people blowin up by my claymores.. got 39 claymore kills that round veteran and expert in same round

for any kit badge, i usually get em in choppers/jets but if you dont want to, best place is pistols knives servers

Go to Warlord and claymore then palace. Have SAS capture one point and just have an all out palace battle, but toss claymores everywhere instead of c4s, that's how I got mine.

As for expert repair, you're best bet is to just flip a boat on Fushe Pass at the dam and statpad. It's really the only way to get that badge.

There are lots of prior threads on getting Expert Explosives Ordinance if you search, with a bunch of different strategies and map recommendations.

Here's how I would try it if you don't want to go all-out with the cheapie clayspamming tactics in the palace or around Hotel on Karkand:
go sniper on Warlord, 64-player server with a low player load so round can last long enough (assuming the teams are fairly evenly balanced);
use clays to defend flags and flag access.

Hopefully you have one or two good support guys on your team, or a commander who's on the ball with supply drops in places you can reach, to keep you topped up. Dying is also an option but a better alternative is play as fighting commander so you can supply yourself, helps too in that you can keep an eye on enemy troop movements.

And if you don't get enough kills first time try again! I've used clays heavily for a long time but only got vet and expert explosives ordinance badges (same round) in a game in September, so up to that point I'd never even had 20 kills IAR.

Expert Explosives: Whorelord Palace. I got it first or second go.

Expert Repair: USS Essex gun on Gator. I kept hitting 15-19 repairs IAR until I finally got it. I didnt mind, they went towards the meritorious medal
Warlord can also be good for it if you got a load of low ranks who enjoy c4'ing your artillery all round.

Expert Engineer! I'm trying for it too... I know I could get it in Sharqi, MEC spawn at clubhouse, hop in a vodnik shoot an empty vodnik, hop into the damaged vodnik, switch seeats to sit in back repair away, switch seats to gunner shoot the vodnik you just shot from hop into back of the recent shot vodnikrepair away. etc etc. Being in the vodnik counts as a passenger, so you will get repair points.

But, as of now, I'm trying not to statpad for awards, though in the past, I have BENT the rules a smidge for some awards.

that's what I've been told cos I still have my basic explosive I'll get around to it...

For expert engy i'll probably go back to SF once I get my aviator and command badge and do it on gator, I'm pretty sure you'll need fewer than 20 ppl in a game to get enough time to do that stuff.

Find a 16 to 24 man Warlord server running the 64 man Warlord. Go as SAS as Spec Ops and put all your C4 on an ATV. Slam it into a tank, don't bail or anything. You get 2 points, he gets 2 points.

Expert Engineer:

Repair the Essex on a long round of Iron Gator.

Go to a Pistol/Knife server(with no Admins. present) then lay C4s all over the place and you will probably receive the badge in 5 min.

expert spec ops go on a 16 player, 64 sized maps server (preferably with friendly fire or low) and get killing. jihad jeep etc. i abide by the EULA and all, but jihad jeeping shouldn't be against it and it's ok in my books.

for expert engineer, go in the same server and get in the jeeps. they repair fast and each time the bar goes over itself once, you get a point. drive them into a group of enemies and hit f3 and get repairing. see an AT guy? stop, hit f3 and repair. rinse and repeat. i got my expert engineer the other day and i did this method and still had half the round to go.
