My mouse has suddenly taken a dislike to BF2. Once I join a server, I cannot move the pointer on the spawn screen. It just sits there, no matter how much I move the mouse.
I can alt-crtl-del out of it, but then the mouse pointer simply vanishes.

Help? Please?

What type/brand mouse is it? I probably won't be able to help but if you provide that information then someone else could.

A Trust MI-2500X 4-button optical mouse.

I've reinstalled BF2, changed the mouse settings, and run it through the Windows troubleshooter. Nothing.

You got any old mouse you could try with, if it's the mouse or something else?
Also try removing your profile folder from "my documents/battlefield 2" there could be something wrong in your controls

i had the same problem you have to uninstall the game then install it manually

Plus I already reinstalled it. Does this mean I have to do it AGAIN?

when you out in the disk the auto menu pops up then go to options then unstall then when thats done reinstall like you normally do

Right. I already tried that, and it didn't work.

EDIT:
Tried it again, patched it, and the mouse issue suddenly isn't contained to BF2. The mouse is now actually physically shutting down at odd moments.
I'm just going to bite the bullet and replace it in the sales.
