If hillary is elected potus I will seriously have to consider dousing myself in some sort of flamable fluid to run screaming down the street, and straight to hell.

I think the Dems will have Hillary as their candidate.  So, save a gallon of gas for yourself.  First she has to win.  Do you prefer another John Kerry?

Hillary will likely win the nomination for two major reasons...

1) She leads in almost every poll of Democrats.

2) She has, by far, the most money to throw into a campaign (aside from Kerry, but he doesn't count).

Yea, obama has yet to prove himself. And anyone is better than Billary. I would prefer Al Gore. But barack is the next best.

There are rumors of a Clinton/Clinton ticket.  I do not think it would work, but Bill and Hill are looking into making Bill become the First Man.

What is it about Hillary Clinton that provokes these extreme reactions in people? I was visiting Birmingham, Alabama a few years back, and the 'Hillary Clinton = Satan Incarnate' bumper stickers were sort of everywhere.

**edit** see above post too.  it's a good question.  it seems like it's just a catchy thing that has caught on because of partisanship to hate her more than anybody has  a good reason.  be nice if jay leno did a "jay walking" segment in deep red southern states to find out if anyone has a good reason for hating on Hillary. lol

Good points...  Personally, I don't have that many problems with her.  I think she's a lot more moderate than most Democrats, but the one thing I don't like about her is her stance on war.  She quietly supported the war with Iraq, and that puts her a little too close to Lieberman in my book.  At least she's not as Zionist as Lieberman, but she has a few neocon tendencies that bug me.  She also takes an uncharacteristically conservative stance on immigration as well, but I realize that may actually aid her popularity rather than hurt it.

Her idea for socialized healthcare is rather naive as well.  Healthcare is becoming more expensive due to the AMA, pharmaceutical companies, and lawsuits, so I don't think socialization is the answer here.  That would be better dealt with by enforcing antitrust laws and implementing tort reform.

Nevertheless, she is generally a more moderate candidate than most Democrats, which is why I find it ironic that the Republicans try to paint her as an extremist.  It would be like the Democrats trying to call McCain an extremist.

I've asked on this forum why she's so despised, yet no one who claims to hate her seems able to substantiate their extreme opinion of her.

I'm not defending her by any means - not because I dislike her, but because I honestly know nothing about her other than the fact that she has taken an anti-videogame stance many times over, I guess to pick an easy target to show conservative voters that she's "pro family values" or whatever.

Anyone? Is she just the Evil One because that's what the conservative talk show hosts and pundits tell us to think?

It seens that "oh God ANYONE but Hillary" is has been the reaction of a majority of Americans. 

I just have to ask, does Obama have a platform or position on much of anything?  (I'll be honest I haven't really kept up with him in the news so if I'm wrong please don't flame.  That being said from the little I have heard I'm haveing a hard time finding out what his platform is or would be come election day)

Oh, and to who ever posted the not having a good reason not to run Hillary; if the woman can't keep tabs on the activities of her husband, I really don't want her in office trying to keep tabs on the country.
