I guess so. The medikit people have in their houses is pretty hard and heavy, imagine getting hit over the head by that. Ouch.

Shouldn't you be able to kill the pilot by shock paddying the plane?

How did you guess?

Darn, I'll leave my mistake untouched just to lighten up the mood

...And no it won't kill. I shock-paddled a tank and nothing happened

If planes can be hit by lightning and not suffer much damage I don't know why a plane would. Well maybe to someone standing on the plane. And remember the shock paddles are magical shock paddles they can even bring back people killed by m95 shots to the head. I don't think using actual shock paddles on a tank would do much of anything anyhow.

Wouldn't they like... fry people inside?

I thought planes struck by lightning have all their instruments go crazy? Or does the plane act like a Farraday's Cage?

They are pretty much designed to be able to be struck, and I think yes it acts like a Cage. The electricity goes around the plane instead of through it. Now of course being struck by lightning isn't something that is desired but it does happen. All the components vital to the flying of the aircraft are insulated or protected in some form. Doesn't anyone use google? searching plane lightning gives a very good answer as the first result. I swear if anyone googled things before posting... nothing against you polarbearz, just been seeing it a lot recently.

haha no, because I read somewhere else that YES the passengers MIGHT survive the lightning strike, but the polarization WOULD mess up so many instruments on the plane that's super sensitive and will cause the plane to get pwned eventually

Today two people thought it would be pretty cool to drive into my mines and hit pagedown within half a second. They didnt respond to me when I told them that you should not punish this kind of tks. So I had a good idea: Since such people do not seem to be able to read or write there should be a console command for punishing. The n00bs wouldnt know about that and the idiots would be too lazy to do that.
Maybe they should also put in an IQ test when installing BF2 which gives you the right to punish tks only when you are above 90....I bet that would solve the problem. Ah well forget about the last part but a console command would reduce punishing.

Ok look here sniperboy. You must be one of those bitches with one hand on your schlong and another on the page down button therefore can only snipe (where you actually stop holding your rod and click a button to shoot). I Like being his bitch, on the internet its all in the spirit of fun. But I balk at your stupidity. Does apostle mean bitch to you?

I don't remember the bible talking about Jesus and his 12 bitches. Nor did any of them ever held His rod. So lets not go there.
What is your obsession with "rods" and "schlongs"... get a girlfriend.

So what if I snipe. If you can do something well then do it. Do I say shit to you because you have spent over 100 hours whoring vehicles? No, I didn't think so. The only times I punish are when I get killed by something that came out of the chopper such as C4, grenades, or bullets. Why do I always punish in this case? Because it takes absolutely no talent to do this, and if they did have talent they wouldn't have TKed me in the first place. Secondly I punish when I have been killed on purpose. Plain and simple.

It's good that you know about Jesus and God but I am really not into that shit so I haven't read the Bible. I tend to not believe in things like the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus.

Apostle to me means a follower. Or more simply, someone that cannot think their own thoughts and be their own man, hence your situation... Chuy's bitch.

Anyway let's get back to your idea. Seriously.

I don't understand why you think that randomizing is a good idea. If you are TKed it is probably in one of two situations. The first situation is where there is not a lot of combat going on and you are TKed (either for a vehicle, being accidentally shot or run over or just because someone felt like it). In this case there is nearly no threat of stopping play in order to take the time to forgive/punish. You have 15 seconds until you spawn, which in my opinion is more than enough to read the randomized sentence and decide.
The second situation is where you are involved in pretty thick to heavy combat. You are TKed. Hmmm. Most likely it was from a grenade or something exploding by accident. In this case most people would want to forgive, especially when there are medics around to get to you. The randomizing feature in this case would only cause more punishes for people wanting to get the message off the screen and not taking the time to read it (because of heavy combat) or because they pressed the wrong button inadvertently. This is why the punish system should not be randomized.

The plane and lightning thing isn't true. Sometimes it can blow chunks out of the fuselage. I will try to find some of the pics I have seen and give a link.
