Great find! I never would've thought that this kind of documentary existed back then. +1

Thanks for the link, and yeah, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Did you know that the Bush family is one of the most powerful war profiteering families in the U.S.? The first Bush president's grandfather (Samuel Prescott Bush) was a war profiteer of WW1. Prescott Bush (G.H.W. Bush's father and Samuel's son) was part of Harriman Bank, which had investments in the Nazi war machine. G.H.W. Bush was once the director for the CIA, and most of us have heard about his connection to the Iran-Contra scandal. Dubya's interests are more focused on oil, but he has a lot of friends in the war industry.Cougar wrote:
I found this old documentary on a website I check out every now and then, that was made in 1935. It talks about war profiteers in WWI and gives warning to future generations about war manufacturers and nations that want war. What I found startling about it was how almost everything it was talking about actually ended up coming true just 4 years later at the on-start of WWII.
The most startling thing I found however, was between 23-27 minutes into it, where the film was talking about how nations would go about making war for profit. Strikingly and eerily similar to the modern wars of today.
The film is old, grainy and a bit cheesy, but definitely worth a watch.
