Personally i think only wankers punish for TKs when they are dumb enough to stand amongst 5 enemies and you lob a nade into them or do things that rank even dumber i personally think the punish should be done away with cause people abuse it

I have over 1,000 tk's, mostly from people running into my arty before the patch fixed that but I have alot from people being in the range of a C4 booby-trap on flags, AA tk's, grenades that missed thier mark and the infamous red name glitch.

Team vehicle damage = -1
Team damage = -2 ie: shooting a team member but not killing them.
Team kill = -4
Suicide = -2 points.
Suicides include blowing yourself up with grenade, C4, land mine and claymore so be carefull when going for your explosives badge! Additionally, switching teams will give you a -2 score, as if you suicided. Obviously hitting the suicide button, or jumping off tall buildings counts too.
Note: Loading the front of a vehicle with C4 and raming it into an enemy vehicle (causing detonation without using the detonator) will result in you killing him and him also getting the kill on you. You will not get -2 suicide points for this.
Sometimes you will team kill and get -6 points, this happens becuase often you will get -2 team damage with your first shot then -4 with second and fatal shot.
The team kill punish system is there to aid in your removal from the server. Not to take your points away. If you team kill you will get -4 minimum regardless of weather you are punished or not. Each punish will count towards the maximum number that each player is alotted before they are kicked/banned.

Sometimes tk's are automaticly forgiven, when the msg pops up on the screen asking if you'd like to forgive it's already considered punishable. Why even give us the option of being a nice guy and forgiving. My vote goes for auto punish! Fuck'em they could have avoided tk'ing but they didn't.

I like the idea a lot. Sometimes all you need are a few seconds to cool down. Plus, I swear some people just have a heavy object taped down to Page Down, or they have a automatic reaction to hit no forgive.. adding some effort to punishing is a great idea. While we're talking about TKs, I would LOVE to see the source of the TK. For example, I want to know if my blackhawk went down from a friendly RAM or from a stray IGLA.. patch team, are you reading this?

It's def a case by case thing.. if I was in a slower moving aircraft and a jet rams me, it's usually a punish. He should have moved out, and there's not much I can do to prevent a collision. I forgive most IGLAs.. although it's really annoying, and the person probably should have known how crappy the missiles are, but it's the INTENT of the TK that's important.

i like polarbearz idea of -2 for accidental TK and add -2 for punish, EA/DICE should think that not every1 is in good nature of not punishing for accidental Tk... how bout a punish/no punish ratio in stats

i'd say again though that i don't care one bit about points - that's why i didn't bother investigating the matter point-wise. but i'm pretty sure that as it is now punishing system is dumb and does not serve it's true purpose. it should be a tool that allows players to kick those who tk intentionally or are just plain stupid (as an example: i was being bombed too much lately by plane whores who fail to look on their map before bombing a cp my squad was going to cap).

nah its just the result of the morphine we inject to entertain ourselves from all those extra medic bags we carry around. its get kinda boring just racking up kill assist points from your bomb runs.....
