I have a fully automatic MP5, which is pretty sweet. I'm thinking of buying something else for the holidays. Gotta get into the Christmas spirit, you understand.
What brand is it? Crosman? Mines see through, like my M4.

I wanna buy a real-colored AK-47 (airsoft of course), but my parents don't want me to, they think it's a waste of my money.
Yeah, it's Crosman. I'm thinking of either getting a pistol of some kind, or another SMG. I'm totally undecided, but since I'm buying it for myself, there's pretty much no budget limitation.
Go and find a reliable (and maybe popular) airsoft gun site and buy an AK-47. Those things are beasts I bet. I really want one!

So I understand that it's fun to shoot your friends and cause pain to them and all, but I'm kind of in need of some help here.  Why would you spend (how much was it again?) $4000 +/- on a toy that shoots plastic BBs?  I've heard kids around campus talking about going out and playing on teams...  but do you just keep shooting back and forth?  How do you know when you hit someone?  Is it a game of honesty?  Or do you just blast the fuck out of each other with no real goal in mind other than to cause as much pain as possible while avoiding being the recipient of said pain?  I used to be really big into paintball, but there were refs and you knew when you tagged someone, because it left marks.  Airsoft just puts out eyes.

P.S. Forgive me, I'm old.

Had a nice M9, took green gas, I really liked the blowback that made the slide move (and even lock back when out of ammo).  Decent FPS, unsure of the exact number but it did penetrate any aluminum cans that got in my way Estimate, about 425 fps.

Unfortunately, one day it was dropped square on the magazine, causing it to spring a gas leak and rendering it useless.  It's out of commission until I spring for a new mag.

I have a Remington 870 that likes to shoot 8 pellets at once.  oh wait, you mean toys that little kids play with.

Funny this thread was made today. I JUST got a UTG M87 SOS and UTG MP5 A4/A5 Electric in the mail. I also have a UTG M324 (Black). That's all I have at the moment. I don't have enough money to blow on a TM or CA so I stick with middle quality.

Sorry for double post

It's a game of honor, you'll (usually) find a much friendlier atmosphere than in paintball.  Especially in private games.  There are referees, and they do a good job, but they rarely have to as everyone's out to have fun.  A lot of the time, it's mil-sim, so you have semi-realistic objectives like Escort convoy, secure downed pilot, gather intel on enemy HQ, etc.  There's also a huge re-enactment of the Black Hawk Down mission in Kentucky I believe.  Then again, sometimes you're given goals like conquest, which are incredibly intense.  As for cost, Airsoft costs quite a bit up front (although you don't need to spend more than $400 to have fun and still have a good gun) but once you have what you need, it becomes a fairly cheap hobby to maintain.  Anywhere you go that isn't just shooting in your backyard will require you to wear at the bare minimum some form of eye protection.

EDIT: Price

got an xm8 replica, made by some small company. Shoots 350fps, electric, not the best investment as it already needs a battary replacement. I've only used it twice, not worth the money I put into it.

Classic Army G36C with a foregrip
~330 fps
pretty accurate (i guess, i only used it a few times)
i dunno the voltage, but i think i put an 1100mah battery in there (well not "in", had to use electrical tape and strap it to the side)
i put a reddot scope on top

anyone wanna buy this off me? $400 (such a good deal, i'm going to put it up on ebay for $500). i have 3 small batteries that fit inside, one extremely large battery that can easily be strapped to the side (and lasts so f'ing long), a universal battery charger (for mini and regular sized batteries), 2 hi-mag clips (hold about 300 to 400 bb's), a couple thousand bb's, a bag (a little too big considering how compact the G36C is), and a reddot scope, and a foregrip. $400 is honestly a steal. this gun works perfectly and has only been used a few times. i bought it last year because my friends and i were going to get into it, we played once or twice and they got owned so they pussied out. Need more info? check out the review or just message me.

here is a review of the gun i have.

850 fps would pierce skin easily, it would probally go through and through if it hit bare skin with no bones in the way. A .38 special with a 2 inch stubby barrel only does 980ish fps. That airsoft gun is damn near a real one. I dont think your telling the truth.

I find that picture comical because the largest guy has the smallest gun. It's, like, ironic or something!

Me and him are the same Height.  And in comparison to an M14, MSG-90, and M40, an M4 will appear small, but I assure you it's not lacking in size or weight.

The gun has a Pressure control system on it that I can adjust to change the amount of gas used per shot, thus adjusting the power of the shot.  I don't play at 700 fps, because that is far to dangerous to whomever I shoot at.  Besides at 500 fps I can hit a mansized object consistently out to 300 feet (In comparison, a TM m14, one of the longest reaching AEG's can hit maybe 160 feet).  You must also remember that ".25" is the weight of the shot in grams I believe, not the caliber.  Do to the backspin put onto the shots to maintain range and accuracy, your also looking at a fairly consistent bleed of power.   Also most snipers will not/ are not allowed to engage within 100 feet of a target, because it WILL pierce skin, but not fabric.  At that point we use our Sidearms.

KWC Desert Eagle, spring action, 20rd clip (I have a spare too), not sure of fps, is reasonably accurate.  Rifles aren't too popular here due to laws; you have to be 18 just to buy a spring action softair gun, and you need a special class of gun license to use anything with full auto...the class of license is harder to get than a standard one too!!!
