Well, the "iPhone was released today, not by Apple, but by Linksys. Ooooh, I smell a lawsuit coming!

why would they have trouble over the naming? It's not like apple copyrighted 'i' or anything, although its the worst naming scheme ever ('iPatch pl0x?) but cool looking phone though

I may be wrong, but i think you can sue for the name being too close, and people could get "mixed up". I'm sure there's some legal term for it...

I don't think Linksys has to worry about lawsuits.  According to this article they have held the trademark for "iPhone" since 1996.
