Just play tribes it had the taunts. I'm glad to be rid of them. You can d/l tribes 1 for free.

Oh and Dice had their hand in that series too.

I hear it at least once every round. Thought it was really weird coz it came out of no where... and the 'hehhehheh' sounded kinda demonic. i play comm 99% of the time so it might be more obvious to me coz i am not moving around much. wasn't there in feb and after i started bf2 again in sept, i heard it. jumped out of my skin and thought there was an enemy soldier next to me.

Soldier of Fortune 2 had thousands of binds/taunts you could bind to keys, on my Sof2 server I have sounds from Scarface, Postal2, Family Guy, ect... for BF2 I guess they just threw in a few of these 'taunts' for a laugh...

I've heard the laughs before, the first few times it freaked me out and I started looking around my room, which was dark at the time, so you can bet it was kinda scary lol... I've also found the "Enemy Wheel Barrow Spotted" sound in the BF2 folder, for each language too... even french lol.

i hear the taunts almost every round and 99% of the time i hear it, its when i spot an enemy and my teammate kills it. i dont know where the hell you get "u gotta spot the dead enemy" from

It's the same situation with the EF guns (I have them on my HD), but I don't see anyone complaining about that.

there is no possibility in bf2cc to lock or unlock this. and those people, who don´t care - shouldn´t post here please. i am not asking for the opinion of uninterested spammers.

so we do know:

- the taunts exist in bf2 (three different .ogg files in the common_client.zip)
- some think, it is triggered by spotting the killed enemy
- many have heard the taunt as commander
