fancy is basically doing a "borat" here. he plays the role of some sterotypical foreigner (the arrogant american) so that everyone who holds the sterotype of americans being arrogant takes it seriously and looks like an ass (lostfate).
im actually glad sarcasm doesnt work over the internet.

Europe is way better than the US, sorry. After spending alot of time in both places I can honestly say Europe is nicer on many levels.
Lol, no of course not, ever heard of the European union?
Besides, who would be the leader etc, etc...

Which experts are these?Fancy_Pollux wrote:
Most experts agree that over the next few years, most European countries will have been annexed by the United States.
The EU is already the strongest and wealthiest trading block ever to exist. From an economic perspective the US would be better off joining the EU.Fancy_Pollux wrote:

The clsoest you would ever, ever get to Europe joining the US would be some sort of European and North Atlantic Union (ENAU), which would be very different from the US, more like an extension of the EU. That could work, based around trading agreements and easier immigration between member states.
To make a post like this you most know very little about European politics and how much all the constituent nations are always very reluctant to give up any sense of nationality whatsoever. Europe will NEVER (except possibly due to some very specific events in a large scale war) join the US.
Europe may join the US, the US might join the EU. But the most probable solution is making a new governmeant based on both cultures, civilization, and ways of life.
But thats what we did..lol .[TFT]Hostage wrote:

Just a couple of questions... Once we join the US....
- Do we have to get all the fast food outlets as well?
- Can we legalize marijuana? Or do the Netherlands have to roll back their legislation? (Since it's forbidden on a federal level in the US?)
- Can we still drive small economic cars?
- Do we have to give up all our holidays?
- Do we all have to get a gun (or several)?
- Can we impeach the president??? Or try at least....
- Will you build a bridge over the Atlantic Ocean?
I'll probably come up with a few more questions...
Oh yea... FOX all the way....
Cheers

What is that? Putting "u"s in some words and not in others? We're doomed![TFT]Hostage wrote:

Both cultures? There are more than two. A lot more than two. More like 30.[TFT]Hostage wrote:

I'd sooner have Israel join the United States than those ingrates in Europe. I can't believe the thanklessness of our task of saving their hides in WWII and in this current war on terror. God bless America.Fancy_Pollux wrote:

However, when this happens, do you think European culture will begin to lose its uniqueness as it is absorbed into the US melting pot? Although this is inevitable, I will still ask for your opinion anyway. Do you think this should happen, and why or why not?

There's another good point. If you think anyone in Europe will put up with a drinking age of 21, you're all nuts. I don't think the French would even understand the concept.RustyNails wrote:
