1. anything the world doesnt have coners
oops i should have been more specific, what object can go around the world but never leave from a corner, it is an actual object that does travel the world, but it cant leave an actual physical corner

@SplinterStrike- yup charcoal

Was she bludgeoned to death with the knife handle perchance? Yea- I know that could create blood, but its my best guess

Second thought: (A bit far-fetched)
The knife was thrown through a window, breaking it and causing her to freeze to death... (so not right)

Holy crap - this thread filled up fast.

Ok, trying to add some fresh ones:

1. As I went across the bridge, I met a man with a load of wood which was neither straight nor crooked. What kind of wood was it?

2. Give me food, and I will live; give me water, and I will die. What am I?

3. Normally on earth, tomorrow follows today - where does yesterday follow today?

SOLVED - dictionary

4. A woman shoots her husband. Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes. Finally, she hangs him. But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together. How can this be?

SOLVED - she photographed him, developed and hung up the print.

5. (slightly cryptic one) I am both Mother and Father.
I am seldom still
yet I never wander.
I never birth nor nurse.

What am I?

I'll check in a couple of hours - am at work and really shouldn't stay on thread.

well if you want a break you can think on this-
in a private cemetery there are buried two grandmothers with their two daughters, two husbands with their two wives, two fathers with their two daughters, two mothers with their two sons, two daughters with their two mothers, two sisters with their two brothers, and yet there are only six bodies total are buried here, without any incest how can this be?

she shoots a picture of him, processes the photo in a water solution, hangs the photo up to dry, enjoys dinner

@JOJOBA and Vilham- sorry this poor girl did not die that way

there isnt supposed to be, but if i see your reasoning i could see where one of us might have gone wrong, i rechecked my work on it and it should be only six i rechecked again and i think i see where youre coming up with eight, but still there are only six

I'll pay that. Ideally looking for 'tree', but you get the idea.

Ok - 5 questions lasted all of 40 min. I'll have to kick it up a notch. BAM....

Not quite a riddle to solve, but it's a good one to throw at your friends...

Three hunters are going to stay at a lodge overnight in the same room.
The manager charges the men $30 for the night.  The actual price of the room is $25/night.
The manager feels bad about overcharging the men, so he gives his son $5 to make it right with the hunters.
The son can't divide $5 between the 3 men, so he keeps $2 for himself, then gives each hunter $1 back.
So now the three hunters have paid $9 each for the room.
$9 x 3 hunters = $27.
$27 + $2 (kept by the son) = $29
What happened to the last dollar?

Well, I keep trying to get an answer but it keeps messing up so heres my answer:

The wives divorced and had kids with someone else who was not in the family so those kids weren't buried in the cemetary. Or were some kids adopted? Not really a good answer I'm just trying to get myself thinking

Its just a mathematical illusion. You don't multiply. it should go like this:
30$=2$(kept by the son) + 3$(money given back to the hunters) + 25$(room price)
