every time i try to join a punkbuster enabled server and i download the map and everything i try to play and a few seconds in it goes back to the server list saying kicked by punkbuster, reason inadaquiat o/s. what is that and how can i fix it
A) Wrong place... this board is for BF2s.com (the website) help, not BF2 (the game) help.
B) Have you tried going to the punkbuster's website? They may list reasons, and what may cause it.
C) From your discription, my first guess is it has something to do with the OS you're running. You're not doing something really funky like trying to run it on WINE in linux, are you?

I had this problem, if you go to the punkbuster website and read about it you'll see the solutions. For me the problem was i had a bad spyware infection that screwed with my O/S privledges so I had to get a little program to fix it.
