Lets see if we can nail this one down. Has anyone been able to reproduce it? For those that experience it what were you doing before hand?TotalBF2.com: It still appears that many people are being affected by the Red Name Tag problem. Will this be resolved in the next patch?
Armando: My policy is to not say anything about what may not make its way into a patch. I don't want the community to get worked up about something that may not happen. However, on this point I will make an exception. We are working on this bug. The problem we are having is that we need a reproducible case in order to know exactly what needs to be fixed. I have asked the community for any information that they know of regarding the server they were playing on, whether autobalance was on or not, how many players where in the game, and whether the players with the incorrect nametag color were team switched or not.
Even if we don't nail it down for 1.2, we will continue to search for the cause.
My personal experience was I was playing Mashtuur City, end of round the teams were rotated. I rotate back to USMC because I like flying in the blackhawk, so did some of the people I were flying with the round before. Some of those guys that switched had the red name bug, I did too. One new teammate decided to shoot all of us.
Also seems to be partly a clientside problem, because on the scores list on one guy I killed on a different server/map, he showed up on the enemy team, but was wearing my uniform, and it showed that I killed someone outright, and did not TK on the scrolling list of x [m1a1] y instead of x [teamkills] y.
