well here's the great thing, if you never click space bar and just use free camera the whole time for a 2142 battlerecorder then you never have to see nametags. HOWEVER if you click space then you're SOL. But if you want to get rid of nametags (this worked in bf2 at least i assume its the same)LT.Victim wrote:

you need to
add the line:
renderer.drawNametags 0
to the bottom of mods/bf2/gamelogic file (take a backup before editing) and you are good to go !
To join servers you need the original file so copy it back when you are done.

i did it and noticed no difference in the quality
