I saw this on the news. It's fucking stupid. Though, if it is passed and the blind are allowed to hunt with laser guns, they're required to have someone with them that can actually see.
WOW, How did I miss this topic?!?!?!
As an Optical Lab Manager here in TX, I gotta say...
We're givin all these blind folk I'm making glasses fur, guns with friggin lasers on 'em? Well Hell! I reckon that'll be a hootinanny! Now I can finally give grammy that .280 she wanted foer her 93rd birthday.

PSS A-side of H-town sucks, no wonder you moved to D-town. Where in Dallas are you? I've got some High society relatives in the disneyland area of highland park.

Damn, I want to shoot something with a laser!
I live right outside Las Colinas in Dalls. Las Colinas = one of the richest areas in Texas. So, it's not ghetto here. Alief was fine, but was going bad, quickly, when I graduated. I go back now and it's filthy and over run those kind of people. Lol, those kind. Anyways, it's just nasty and trashy now.slicknic wrote:

They are legally BLIND.Elamdri wrote:
I really don't understand the point of this controversy. The people can shoot legally. This is making it easier for them to do so. Where is the problem?
Can't see well enough to drive, but... they can shoot a gun. Last I hunted, the deer don't come within 10' for you to shoot them.
*drool* I'll take a Kimber. 45, a Thompson subby, and an Uzi please. Got any AR-15s? I'll take one of those, too.kr@cker wrote:

he even posts his silhouettes at the shop, and every time i go in he has a different set, oh and he stays strapped at work, too
uzi's, tommy's, historic pieces, even a goldplated tiger-striped deagle
Please read post #21 in this thread by Kr@cker. The gun shop owner he mentions can see just fine at a distance.GATOR591957 wrote:

I read it ,but still fail to understand if anyone is legally blind how they can be allowed to hunt. Legally blind is not a gray area. You are either legally blind or not. If you are legally blind you should not hunt, period. That may sound harsh, but let's just think a little logically here. Hell, I've hunted in PA where the first day of deer season you get all the guys who pull out their guns from their one year hiatus to go hunting and end up shooting cows and horses. I have a friend who paints the sides of his cows with orange paint. These guys have good vision, why would I want a leaglly blind person our there in the woods with me?Stingray24 wrote:

Ummm... hmmm..
Legally blind can go a couple of different ways. A myopic lens vs a hyperope. One sees up close very well, and the other can see distance very well. You may be legally blind in either sense. I'd hate to have a legally blind hyperope with no correction hunting, but it is possible for some of them to have correction that allows for vision good enought to discern a Cow/horse from a white tail at 80 yds.
As for a Myopic hunter... in most cases as long as the prey isn't under 6 feet from 'em they outta see fair-to-Midland.

i reckon he can point a gun in the right direction if you choose to rob him up close as wellStingray24 wrote:
