I have 429 hours played so far. This game has cost me approximately 11.6 cents per hour to play.

A movie, that lasts an hour and a half, costs roughly 9$ US. That's six dollars per hour.

At a bar, if I have two drinks, it's roughly 10$ per hour.

Lap dances, 20$ for 3 songs, 6.66$ per song. 1 song = approx. 3 minutes = 2.22 per minute!
(Although nobody can deny lap dances are worth it)

Tired of complainers complaingng (it reeks of irony, I know) about BF2. We all got a ton of value for the amount of time invested into a game. Even with the extra 30 for SF, I still got value from the game.

Plus, I have fun playing with squadmates and trying to get stupid little badges and ribbons.

Play the game, earn some awards, and shut the fuck up.

Bitching about patches and crap like that. You don't like the game? Stop buying EA's shit! Fucking whiners, you have no fortitude. They could have patches that destroy the game,a nd you'll still buy BF3 when it comes out. You're like battered housewives. No matter how bad EA treats you, you can't seem to leave. "Someday they'll change".

The principle of the fact is service: service and the reliability, quality, and reasonability of it. Period. That's all it is. Just because your standards are low doesn't mean each and every fuck out here with a sound sense of integrity needs to lower theirs. and how exactly are they being unreliable, unreasonable, and passing off shoddy quality merchandise?

theyre listening to community suggestions for patch changes(reasonable), provide patches regularly(reliable), and theyve been fixing bugs(not all of them yet of course, but show me some software with no bugs and ill show you a liar).

basically for a piece of game software, the quality overall is superb.  the game looks/plays like aces with the occasional cosmetic bug, theyre frequently trying to make changes to ensure game balance.

80 bucks between expansion and base game for 1000+ hours of quality gaming... works for me. 

it sounds like you must be expecting their service department to service you sexually, but it aint that kind of company.  short of a blowjob, for a large gaming company having to deal with a lot of irrational little asshat kids, i think theyre doing a pretty good job.

im curious though kniero, what would they have to be doing for you to think of their service as being good?

I agree that BF2 pays your money back way over dude, but u have to understand that for some guys it doesnt and they have the right to complain for this and that, so enjoy the game like I do (9 cents per hour so far hahahaha) and let who doesnt to complain, anyway you dont work at EA, do you?

i 110% agree w/ erkut.hv, we got our money's worth the games cheaper than a movie, way cheaper than an MMORPG, which u have to pay subscribtion to it and requires no skill to play. to kniero: how much money do u think their service department is making if u look at how much sales the game made. ok 1 million 1 hundred thousand users, lets say they all bought SF, EA and DICE makes 8 million 8 hundred thousand dollars, whos getting paid? all the CEO's, developers, testers and service department just for bf2. lets say service department has 5 thousand ppl, they get 1 mil. each person who work there earns only $200... wow thats low pay... but EA sells other games right? so they make extra money. service department is already good. dont bitch or dont buy EA products

No, but I used to play BHD and the like from the good folks at Novaworld. You want to talk about shitty service and rampant cheating? That's why I don't get all the complaining. It could be MUCH MUCH worse folks.

My only complaint regarding this matter has to do with EAs poor implementation of the ranking system that only allows for it to be installed to "trusted" servers. 

What this amounts to is if you want to play a ranked game you have to play on a server that comes direct from EA or one of its trusted partners.  Try becoming a trusted partner.  You've got Nvidia and Hypernia and thats about it, and they say they aren't seeking any more.  So between them and the $512 a month EA wants for a 64 player server, there is not a lot of competition for providing ranked servers.  We may as well be paying a subscription fee for the online use of this game because every ranked server is rented through EA or one of its few partners.

And I do appreciate the irony of taking a dig at Hypernia well using a sig sponsored by them, I tried them and was very disappointed, great customer service on a terrible network.

No doubt!

And IF! This were called BF2 beta version, and I had to pay 50+30=80 bucks to play (both BF2:SF) even a beta version of BF2:SF - I would. The choice is self-evident to me either wait 2 years for it to be perfected MAYBE(?) or play it NOW!

I choose the NOW option.

And the glitches are few in comparision to the FUN!

The only value I find in complaints/complainers is they occasionally make a valid point in terms of what can be fixed or upgraded later.

Amen brother.

This game is a quality piece of software, and probably the best FPS I've ever played. I got tired of MMO's because of the repetition of them, and quit PlanetSide because SOE shat on it and left in a closet.

It's also great to be able to shoot up people as a Marine again, even if it's in a game!

So roger that Erkut, whiners (mostly Kniero), shut your mouths and either play play or don't, it's as simple as that. Damn.

I don't really agree. The game would be as good as you say if there weren't some really annoying bugs/lag and if there weren't so many douche bags in the game. The gameplay is overall really good I think but sometimes it gets annoying to me, but I still play mainly because it's the only game that if you actually kill something or do something, you get credit, unlike most games these days. EA liscensed it I believe, I think DICE developed it. Eh, I guess I can deal though.
