1. Yeah, so what? He's entitled to an opinion, and he could have any number of reasons for it.
2. Correction, he thinks intelligent discussion is going to promote peace.
3. And? Ausch has other meanings, like say, ausch.net. Ding dong. And a wiki search for Ausch returns two Australian cities for some reason, but no Auschwitz.
4. And? If you devide 2 by itself, you get 1, and there was only one hitler, and you have two hands, so you must be a nazi. Honestly, he could have picked 88 randomly.
5. Since when are you a connisseur of Australian chainsaws? I can't say Ausch isn't a brand and neither can you.

As B.Schuss outlined, 88 is not just a random number and has nothing to do with this "divide 2 by itself" analogy you try to use. This combined with Ausch88's other posts would make this one hell of a coincidence, don't you think?

buy a chainsaw in Australia and you will never have to buy another one in your entire life.. now that you tell me that they are not australian-made.. i feel cheated BUT i still believe that they are the best chainsaws out there. That makes them ideal for trimming trees, thinning shrubs or cutting firewood. Both models are now available with catalytic converters for ecologically aware users.

Fine. Although it is just a number and doesn't change he fact that it was a horrific genocide, I'll agree that this might a debatable issue, if you are a holocaust expert with an open mind.

The iranian president said if i recall correctly that it was a myth and that the numbers greatly exagerated. Not sure he said that it never happened.. he said that if the europeans did all those things to the jews, why not settle them in europe.. but this is all reported by the medias so who knows

i agree like a said in a previous post (post #90 of this thread) that having david duke at this meeting greatly reduce the credibility of this conference.

i was happy to see a lot of jew from all around the world (even Australia!) invited.. i posted some pictures of jews and muslims shaking hands and i see that as a good step toward communication and peace.  the jews invited there don't deny the holocaust of course, like a lot of member of this summit.. they are there to share their point of view..maybe some hardline holocaust denier will change their mind after they talk with those jews..  the media tell us that its a bunch of holocaust deniers and i think its not true.. some of the guys in jail only questionned the numbers but were not allowed to share their point of view..  they were tried and put to jail almost instantly.

i said 2 millions as an example, i really don't know.. i just find it strange that they reduced the number of dead at Auschwitz from 4 to 1.5 millions but did not reduce to total of 6 millions.  Its a simple question and nobody is allowed to ask it.

now i realize that we cannot have a discussion about this without the name calling and stuff so please lock this thread before i get banned for thing i didnt say..
