when playing BF 2 on line my chums I would like to be able to talk to each other using skype, not the voip that comes with the game.

Is this possible? WE could not get it to work!, we did have skype up and running, but as soon as we started Bf2, the game sound came through the headsets and we could no longer hear each other!

So! can I have bf2 coming out of the 7.1 speaker system and be able to talk to my friends on the headset?

Many thanks.

I don't think so, not unless it's possible to install two sound cards and have the skype use on and the game use the other, which I doubt is possible.

Only way around this is to have a laptop at the side of you and use the laptop for skype and the other for the game.

Yea I do this, except with TS instead of skype, I have game sound coming through the speakers and TS coming through a one ear headset.

You'll need to find some option in Skype so you can set both the input and output to your headset while leaving the windows default to your main speaker system.

I stand corrected, apparently it is possible. I bow down to the wisdom of the Towelly.

thanks,

"TS instead of skype" what is TS?

I'm a bit technophobic when it comes to all this computer stuff!

thanks again.

How do I do this?

Will I need a second sound card?
