Today while browsing over my own forums i ran into a couple of videos of US soldiers getting shot by insurgent snipers for some reason this highly disturbed and angered me. However when I see a bunch of Iraqi militants getting blown to bits I couldn't really care. Is it possible that modern day media has changed my views on Iraqi's so much that i find them lesser then the average US troop without even knowing it. I know I don't support the war and am against it but I do however support the troops fighting it (the only people that actually know what its like). Back to the point has anyone else noticed this does modern day media effect how we think this much?

Edit* i understand my title isn't spelled correctly its supposed to be influenced i know

I normally do I attempt to find the most logical answer to every problem or thing i read which looks a little odd. But media has sub consciously led me to think what I actually don't want to think. I thought id be neutral and find it all the same when I watched those videos but I just couldn't bring myself to it.

Thats why I gave up watching any news or reading any papers..... all became too tabloid.

I'd like to know whats going on in the world some times, but failed to find a source that was balanced and well researched.

Militants are scum, but most soldiers aren't.

I say this because soldiers must abide by very clear rules.  They have to minimize collateral damage, whereas a militant can blow up anybody in the process of trying to fight authority.  Most of these militants don't give a damn that they're killing so many innocent people while they fight us.  So yeah, you rightfully see militants as lesser beings, because they are.
