Battlefield 2 is an awesome game! We all agree and its a great representation of real warefare.

And it's quite realistic aswell! Apart from some physics that give us all some good laughs but hear is an idea i'd like to share:

The Sniper and spec ops. should be able to FAKE DEATH!!

Will it get out of hand? SURE!! But if you get shot while in FAKE DEATH MODE you still get killed. So... I can already see everyone taking out clips on dead bodies!

What do you think?

Nice idea but I seriously doubt EA/Dice would implement it. They've got a shitload of bugs that they've yet to sort out yet.

Can you give a reason for your oppinion?

I just think that it would be cool to keep the game growing, its yet another thing you have to worry about  while running through the Battlefield! Hehe...

Unreal Tournament let you fake your death, but it wasn't too useful since you were completely helpless while in that mode. Most players would shoot you anyway.

Yeah that's true, but think how easy knife kills would be if you can play dead for a while and 3 oakes just run past you and you can knife the, in the back!

They had this feature in Unreal Tournament and I don't think it was overabused. For the most part, the majority of players didn't even know that the ability to fake death existed. I got away with faking death occasionally, but it was usually not worth attempting. In unreal it was fairly difficult to get away with because when you killed someone they would usually be left as a bloody mess or have their body parts strewn about the area, so seeing a non-mutilated body on the ground wasn't that convincing. I think it would be a lot easier to get away with faking death in BF2. I think it could be an interesting feature if it was implemented so that it wasn't exploited.
