i am using a logitech mx518 and am wondering, if it would make sense, to change some keys to the mousebuttons, like seatswitch, free look, flares..

I use up/down/left/right + mouse for controls and end key to deploy countermeasures. I use it to prone as infantry aswell.
Another tip, use delete/insert/home/page up/page down for MG/Knife/Pistol/Supplies/Nades respectively.

you shouldnt need a seat swith in an emergency. Solo flying is soo lame.
Unless ofcourse your pilot jumps out and leaves you to die, then you may need an emergency seat switch button. That way you dont die and you can go and kill the traitor

Try not using a joystick. Mouse and keyboard controls are much more precise.

The f9-f12 buttons are all different views. I forget what they are but while your flying just press them and you will find out.

f9 it's cokpit view, press to remove or add the cockpit
f10 you see from the rear of the chopper
f11 you see from the front of the chopper
f12 fixed view from the front (but will not follow the chopper)

Yeh i know they are the different views, eg. with cockpit, without, following etc. but i am asking how you get FREE VIEW, where the aiming rectiles are gone and you are able to look around almost 180 degres.

backspace and shift no idea,...

EDIT: Too late...
Change right mouse button to switch seat, when you press/hold the right mouse button while solo you'll go straight into tv missile view. It works a treat. First post btw
