gah, ok something isn't working right.

i've made my changes to the English.UTXT file and saved the contents.

however, in-game must be using a cache of that file, because it doesn't reflect the updated contents of the English.UTXT file.

anyone know how to fix this?

I did what you said but it dont works for me!!I have the German Bf2 i changed the settings in English.utxt and german.utxt with no effect.

Yes know it worked but the whole game fucked up other Huds in Game changed or dissapeared.
Example the button to make a new squad fucked up it says now Hud_HUD_Squad....
and other things.

You can't 'cos the rank isn't recorded anywhere when you kill someone or you were killed by someone

The kill message and the orange gun names work ( You owned x guy (+2)) but I have a problem. When someone kill me it shows HUD_chat_youwerekilledby. How do I fix that because I don't see nothing wrong
