Howdy!
I'm not posting this as some sort of "You guys should have missed me because I'm so cool" post. I just keep seeing posts that go something like "WTF, you're back?" So here I am and here is the long version:
A long time ago a game called BF2 came out. Then came BF2s.com. Then I started reading the forums. Then I got addicted. About the time this started to get really huge, I decided I was going to really start knocking out classes as fast as I could. I was taking 18 hours per semester and 3 - 9 during intersessions and whenever else they were offered. I completed about 2 years worth of school in 1 year. I thought it was awesome and I did better than I normally do in school because all I did was school. I even quit my job. Then came the bills. So I get $$ for being a vet (note to all of you in the US Military or thinking about joining: make sure you pay into the "GI Bill Kicker" program so you get mad $$ when you get out and go back to school. PM me or go to your local ed center for more on that). I also get 100%* of my tuition paid for. Oh, what's that star? Hmmm.. *=X amount of dollars per hour. Fine there. *=X amount of dollars per semester. Fine there. *=X number of dollars per year. What? Well, I went waaay over there.
Now I'm sitting around with way more free time since I don't have a job and I'm only taking about 12 hours and no intersession courses. I'm trying to get caught up in here, because I used to love this place and it still seems to be thriving. There a lot of new features and mods and updates etc to the game, but I haven't had time to play just yet (finals are coming up.) Right now the Junk Drawer is keeping me pretty tied up and I'll probably just hang out here until the semester comes to an end (in a couple of weeks.) Then I'll span out and play some more BF2 and get caught up for real. Unless I get a job.
I'm glad to see some old faces and happy to see some new ones! Thanks for keeping this place alive!
