I seem to remember reading in my lost instruction book that you could lower your grappling hook down to let people climb up it. I took that to mean that you could be on a roof already and deploy your hook down. Does anyone know if this is possible? Thanks.

Short right click, facing the edge of the roof/cliff.
This will make you throw at minimal power, so the hook gets stuck at your feet and the rope goes down the wall.

Hey your right. Manual says right click mouse button near the edge of any rooftop to drop the rope. I Didn't know that! Going to have to try it out.

U can go down your own line, just make sure it's touching the ground. I tryed it off the high ledge on Devils Perch and couldn't let go when i got to the bottom.

press shift and S to go down quickly

I'm amazed at just how few players seem to know this. Either that or they don't have enough sense to drop it to bring support up to their location. But then there should be a "Drop me a line!" item in the commo rose I guess; same basic thing would be good with the zipline too.

It seems as though if the rope is in the ground, you cant get off of it. But another test, it was hanging in mid air and I just fell straight off.
U should be able to just hit E and get off the rope. U can do it with ziplines, y not grapples
