I dont know if anyone has noticed.

But in society the amount of stealing, insulting, harrassing and simply just going out of your own way to make someone elses life difficult is happening more and more.

And most people are just O.K with it. I noticed it the other day. A person punched a guy in the face at my brothers school because that person supposedly "Smelt bad". There was 3 teachers outside and they saw the whole thing.

When the student after getting off the floor and everything went to the teachers they said to him that school has finished so they have no responsibility. I mean come on. This guy just gets punched in the face for smelling bad and they ignore it.

I was disgusted and so i turned to my brother to say that that guy is a faggot and if he wasnt 10 years younger i would have gone and bashed him for doing that to someone.

But the thing that disgusted my the most was the fact that the teachers were able to ignore it.

Luckily my brother recorded the whole incident on his phone. So i took it to the School principal and showed it to him and demanded action taken against the teachers.

2 weeks later they were sacked. Why? For failing to render appropriate counsel/aid to the person victimised and also for failing to take action against the person that did it.

When i was in highschool these kind of things never happened in my year. Our whole year were on ok terms atleast with each other. And the teachers would never have ignored something like that.

Couple years later and its completely changed.

I think of it this way.  First, your experience shows a lack of discipline in the teachers, and they were rightfully sacked.  Second, the kid should have been disciplined accordingly.  Depending on his age, this could mean anything from suspension to a sound paddling.

The fact is; people today don't give a shit anymore about other people.
It is quite sad. And it does make me wonder sometimes if we really have "improved" our lives with all of the comfort and such.
If you look at the people that we (Western people) call poor (3rd world countries) it is sad too see that, even though we have more possesions and every basic thing we could ever need in our lives, we still refuse to share it with others. And those people, who already have almost nothing, still would share it with others.
So the question is; are we really happier with all these materialistic things we have? Is this really what we need to have a good/happy life?

IMO, the average Western person has become selfish and none-caring in our world.
We no longer care for anyone but ourselves.
And your example shows that what I say is true, but I would like to illustrate this by a true (you can look it up if you want) and very recent tragidy here in Belgium.

Not so long ago, a Belgium teenager (16-18years) was killed in the train station in Brussels. The boy was stabbed multiple times by 2 young men (in their twenties) because he wouldn't hand over his MP3-player to him (therefore it became know as the MP3-murder). The kid was killed in the station at rush hour. Meaning that there were hundreds of other ADULT people around him at the time of the murder. And the place that he was stabbed was right next to the main exit of the station. And no one, and I do mean no one, stopped to try and stop the murder. Did anyone stop to keep the murderer from escaping? No they did not!
No it gets even worse; when he walked to the bench, bleeding to death, and finnaly collapsed 1 meter away from the bench. Still no one helped. All these people had better things to do than helping some poor boy who just got murdered over a stupid MP3-player.

I'd like to end my post with the following words that I grabbed out of two song texts of Live:
"If I told you he was your brother
We could reminisce
Then you would go about your day
If I said you ought to give him some of your water
You'd shake your canteen and walk away"

- Live, The Beauty of Grey

"Selfishness and separation have led me to believe that the world is not my problem..
The world is not my problem.
I am the world, and you are the world.."

- Live, 10.000 years (Peace is now)

Punched for smelling bad, lmao.  Maybe if you had more gangs, people wouldn't punch other people for stupid shit like that.

I agree with you completely Death dealer.

As the crimes get bigger people are not noticing the crimes that would have been really bad maybe 1 year ago and only noticing big crimes.

I have a strict set of morals. And I follow them.

I'm opposite of "going with the flow".

If the teachers intervened, they'd be sued and lose their jobs (anyway) for use of excessive and unauthorized force. Perhaps they thought they'd cling to their livelihoods by turning a blind eye. Ever think about that?

The lawsuit thing only applies to America.  Australia is generally more sensible about this kind of thing, or so it seems.
