Ex-Russian Prime Minister Gaidar was taken ill in Ireland a few days ago too with contamination by an 'unnatural substance' - they haven't worked out what it is yet, just that it ain't Polonium 210.

Sounds like some Russian boys have a hit out on them.  Someone wants them dead, either a former colleague of theirs, a rouge KGB official, or they all crossed the Russian government the wrong way.

i us Aussies are abit ahead, but thats rediculous, old news.

This is the second spy. Not the first one. Notice it happened in the UK, It was a website in the UK, I don't see how possibly Australia can it that news faster.

The whole story gets a lot scarier with this. Who knows how many more people are going to die? One of them, can't remember who, did say that in their meeting, Scaramella told Litvinenko that both of them were likely targets for assasination.

Well to be fair Kmarion, I had heard of the second victim a couple DAYS ago, but not weeks.  I remember seeing on TV about the first guy dying, then a day or so later seeing that the Russian former prime minister had been poisoned and I think it said his wife may have been too.  The broadcast also showed a map about where radiation traces had been found.  I think the hit man or hit men that are out for these guys probably didnt intend on making international news with it.

They didn't know it was polonium-210 till yesterday.

Toxicologists confirmed yesterday that Mr Scaramella had also been contaminated by a “significant” amount of deadly polonium-210.

In any since there is doubt that guy was confused.
