Almost every person whose stats I have looked at have at least a 1.2 K/D ratio, but if there's a death for every kill, then this means there are people with sub 1.0 K/Ds, so where do these suicidal maniacs hide?

you're wrong, you can kill 1 guy and get killed 10 times trying to get a frag... no one says K/D has to be 1.00 ... that's just rubbish...
well, if you kill someone, and they get revived, they wont hav a death added, but you will hav a kill added
When I firsted started mine was getting down to .6 or .7. After getting better at the game it has made a steady climb to 1.5. My current goal is to get a 2:1 K/D. Since I have gotten better I usually average 3:1 as infantry and 6:1 in armor or planes.
This is the correct response. You can get killed 4 times and get revived right away each time. You won't get any deaths, but the guy who shot you gets the kills.-_{MoW}_-Assasin wrote:

Mine's climbing all the taime. Just about a month ago it was at 0.89, and it's climbing rapidly. Before yesterday it was 1.08, and now it's 1.1

Check my stats, mine is below 1.0 also. Some kits just don't lend themselves to a high kill ratio. That is one of my goals, to improve this ratio...guess I need to learn to fly
Well think about it, forum boards are going to have the more hardcore players on them. People who either aren't very good, or don't really care about the game aren't likely to be on here researching information or connecting with other players, they're off doing something valuable with their time, like seeing the sun.
Ummm... mines below 1.0, but I really don't care.

my kill death aint great but its from having a low end system, for a while i was running a p4 2.4 ghz with only 512mb or ram and a radeon 9800 128. so my fps was really slow. then i just stopped playing on this name cause i like it and didnt want to mess up the stats anymore than they were. but its getting better slowly.
I'm sure a lot of kills lend them selves to the newer players. I know when I started out my K was quite low. Now it's climbing at a steady rate but badge attempts slow it down sometimes. When i'm doing nothing but running around with the defibs or C4 out i tend to not have much defense. now my average k:d is somewhere around 3 or 4 so it will get constantly higher.
My overall k/d ratio is 0.77 lol, the only thing i dont really suck at is flying, k/d ratio of 5.96. I ve been a pilot for a bfv clan for quite a while so basicly i suck on the ground.
When I started playing bf2, I had a k/d of around 1.3 . Steadily increasing, I'm now at 1,66. And still rising
Almost every round I play now, I get a 2:1 k/d as infantry. So I hope to get the precious 2,0 k/d on a good day

I think I'm a good player now, I'm playing much better than my rates say now. Raising them goes to slowly
Im only a average player for my kills but i get killed alot doing support actions so that doesnt help

Good on all of you for improving your K: D from those first few rounds where you qualified for 3 purple hearts a round
(I think my K: D was too low to get purple hearts for the first 20-300 games)

The problem is, if I don't spend my entire time focusing on killing the enemy and try to play to the objectives, I have a much harder time keeping up my K ratio. Also, I love running into enemy fire to revive people, it's so fun!
