I used to be a security guard for my college.  One night while I was working, I found $50 cash laying on the ground, in the middle of the night with no one around at all.  I reported it to my dispatcher as a lost article.  My immediate supervisor thought I was nuts.  The officer who came to collect the cash wondered why I didn't just keep it.  That $50 would have almost doubled my income for the night, but I didn't think it was right to keep it.

I would like to think that I could withstand the temptation.

Besides, do you ask accountants how they can withstand the temptation?  How about bank employees?

lol...  Well, I'll put it this way.  Millions of other people are more likely to enter power before I would.  ...most of whom would be a lot more corrupt than me...

I'm not interested in politics, but if I were, I'd be the most honest politician that ever lived.  That's why I could never be a successful politician.

A mixture of both, some amount of dishonesty being required to survive elections and the rest of your career.

I dunno. Never been in that position and I hope to never be in that position.

Reminds me of something proposed in Australia recently... The idea is to make it illegal for an elected politician to lie about anything that has remotely to do with his position.

I already know that I wouldn't get into politics.  I don't want my life dredged up in the most negative light possible.

Promise hundreds of porkbarrel insentives, get elected then run off with all the campaign funds to Columbia.

Honest in my own country. Though if I was a politician in other country, say Arnie, then I'd be corrupt.
