ok, here's the first comment about your map that doesnt involved the technical aspect.

there have to be more ways out of the USMC base.  if 128 MEC players spawned at their first flag, USMC would never have a chance to capture a flag.

Good day mate, an i would like to first point out.

1) would you like to become a group of my 64 v 64 Server - please email me at [email protected] for further information.

2) Now, on the map you should make it look a little like Black Hawk Down. Make it look like Somalia .
I know it would be a lil hard, but all you have to do is  cut out the right side of the picture, and put water.

3) If you dont like 2. You can take out less contol points and not make it 256. Because no server can hold 256 players.  http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=9770 | Please vists that, because i already started one but it consit of 128 people.

4) You should create another US Spwan point, like i said before it would be best if you make it look like Black Hawk Down - Somaila- since it is right next to the water but a island in and still keep the one on the land. But do not put in any aerial support. just put in serval boats. like 15 or so.

5) If anyone would like to join the team of 64 64 please email me at [email protected] for further information.

I will also be out for a week im going on vactaion ..

Um... I think one of the things that makes Karkand so fun (at least to me), is the bridge and the intensive gunfights and desperate assaults that take place there. So, maybe you could split the new Karkand in two in the same way?
I believe there is a map on Total Battlefield2 called Strike at Karkand 2. It features two bridges right next to each other. Maybe you could let that map inspire you?

on the top left, right, middle it is desert. put the  america bases there. then one out on the sea.

on the bottom letf, right middle make it the mec area..

I wanted to keep it only street fights, keep the U.S. spawn point close, so it's not all Tank fight (though I've though of using like 5-10 tanks per side for some extreme tank combat )

1. Yes, there needs to be at least one more U.S. spawn point (possibly 2 more)

2. 128 can't all respawn at one flag (it turns red), so MEC can't all spawn at the top, and also proves that the U.S. needs more spawn points at the top.


BTW: What do you think if the city was surrounded bt 3 more U.S. spawn points, like it was under siege?

BTW, the server I have avalible is a Quad Opteron (4x2.2GHz) with 8GB RAM, It should handle 256 players just fine

But the way as I'm lookin at it now the map should be way bigger cause the 64 player map is allready bigger than ur map so I guess with 256 players it should even be bigger..

i, meslef, am no computer expert and the like....however, probably 7-8 years ago or so, we used to Play Air Warrior III online with 4 or 5 different arenas/maps, each with 200-500 players per map...using DIAL-up:) funny thing is none of use recall ever having that much lag either..

The area size is the same, but instead of river and desert, i have put urban surroundings.

So when done, the actual size will be around the same as 64 karkand, but it would seem much larger for infantry units because everything is urban and u need to navigate through.

I think you should give the USMC another uncappable base at the other end of the map.  It looks good, but it would have major lag

Make it so there are multiple fronts the defense have to fight on - maybe one north US base, one east, one south and one west so the commander has to work bloody hard to work.
