dripping.
Honestly I don't watch the news enough to immediately recognize which station it is, but halfway during that, I was thinking please don't be Fox news....lol
I don't consider viewpoint on opinion shows, I look at skill of the host.
I think a lot of people don't bother to make a distinction. I have no problem with their news coverage (I watch it). O'Reilly is nuts sometimes, but eh, he's commentary. Not news.usmarine wrote:

I didn't see a bias either.usmarine wrote:

Its the same no matter what you watch. They all report the same. But the idiots think the opinion shows somehow tilt that? fuck come one people.
You obviously did not read my post. I find it difficult to be civil to someone who disregards most of my post, relying only on the title and the first two lines. please don't give me that bullshit. i know that all news/all forms of the media are biased... thats just how it is...
but FOX by far takes the cake when it comes to terrible, biased journalism. news stations are not around to give opinion, their job is to inform... not to deleive biased news peices that the majority of their audience wants to hear
It sickens me that this can possibly be a refutable political issue. That is a case of pure stupidity. In fact, I think that it was completely acceptable. FOX did nothing biased here. They merely exposed a stupid policy. That is exactly what I want my news source to do.Flaming_Maniac wrote:

true stupidity.
Everyone does have their own bias. Defending against your view of reality has become exceedingly easy of late due to poor OP construction and weak arguments. Check out some of the topics running at the moment. Perhaps you'd care to respond to even very simple questions in them requiring yes/no answers....lowing wrote:
The problem is, and you see it in this forum plain as day, everything and everyone is considered biased, bigoted, racist etc.. when it goes against the liberal opinion.
It is their only defense against reality.
In your reality freedom of religion, enshrined in the constitution of your own country, seems to be some sort of horrid crime signalling the downfall of humanity. So much so that you can't even bring yourself to recognise the fact that your country defends freedom of religion by answering a simple question. Your arguments swing around self-defeatingly proclaiming Islam is violent on the one hand and then, when pressed with the reality of things, stating that most Muslims 'aren't real Muslims' on the other. I wouldn't be surprised if your next topic states your fear that the sky is in fact falling in.
As to the OP:
Fox News sucks big black dick.
CNN sucks dick too. Most Europeans won't realise that because we get a sanitized version of CNN over here in Europe. If you visit the US you'll realise how insidious CNN is too.

The corporate media is extraordinarily biased towards business interests and the government by it's very nature. They are huge corporations trying to sell advertising space to other businesses. Corporate media runs from the centre to the far right. The left wing barely even appears as a footnote in the mass media.
People bash FOX because they bill themselves as fair and balanced to a massive audience. People bash blogs, too, but they don't get nearly the same kind of exposure, so they don't get nearly the same kind of bashing. Not realising that is "dumb fucking idiocy".usmarine wrote:

but still if he can tell me wat he was actually saying that will be fine.
because as far as i can tell he said that anyone that says FOX is biased are not in touch with reality.

It looks like he was saying that he prefers the conservative bias as opposed to the liberal bias in news reporting. I reread his post (albeit quickly) and I didn't see anything that implied a "if you don't watch fox, you are out of touch with reality" opinion.Little BaBy JESUS wrote:
