I bet there will be more padding goin on now ... lots of people pissed @ EA . they will be going to overtime shifts resetting players because stats r' life
I love how they keep saying that they can't adjust peoples' stats, but they keep reseting them. Should be:

We know it's our fault we sold you a dud product, but instead of giving you proper customer support we'll just keep reseting your accounts so our leaderboard doesn't make us look like dumbasses.
the only reason that they hack that shit is so they can get a rise out of you guys. just shutup and maybe it won't happen
Stats are not life... I'm still going to play BF2... But I do want my stats back. It's a fun addition to the game.
but havent you realized yet that stats=life?ig wrote:

Well, that sucks then. I have to start using other sites about stats and forget about bf2s? 'cause all other sites display my stats correctly.OrangeHound wrote:
By the way, I would like to mention that any account that has a BR > 1000 will show up on BF2s as "reset", even though you may not be reset.
Jeff put in a filter to reject a member's stats that are coming from EA with BR>1000. I'm able to see still see stats on Gibson without the filter, so I'm able to see (for example) cablecopulate with a 16 million score ...
>>>BF3 Central<<<
How many BRs do you have over 1000 Nikola?
As those who hacked my account! omfg

Well, if your stats are hacked, are you really that interested in viewing your hacked stats? I mean, it's kind of funny to look at the big numbers and full house of medals, but there's no more e-accomplishments to be e-admired.Nikola Bathory wrote:

EAs non-auto response is:
So it seems that they are working on it but they dont know when its gonna be fixed. Also it means that the hacked users will propably not be given restored stats I wont play until they will fix it, i wasted too much my precious life on my accountHello,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your incident. Many users logged into Battlefield 2 recently to discover that their account was given an extreme best round score(s). We are currently under investigation of the issue and are trying to find the best course of action.
We are working closely with the development team to come a conclusion on the best way to fix this issue for all the users that were affected by this issue. We do not have a time frame as to when these stats will be adjusted if at all but please continue to review the Official Battlefield 2 Website. We are trying to come to a conclusion that will be the best benefit of the Battlefield online community and its members.
Unfortunately our support teams cannot remove or alter global scores, kill streaks, unlocks, hours played, ribbons, badges, etc, nor can we retro-actively award you any stats or ribbons you may have been awarded.
We apologize for the trouble and hope you continue to enjoy Battlefield 2.

It's important to note this sentence in their E-mail. "We do not have a time frame as to when these stats will be adjusted if at all." "IF AT ALL" is the key phrase. Considering over 2000 accounts we're hacked or deliberately padded they are most certainly not going to check each individual account to see who's being honest about being hacked. This late in the game I bet they leave stats alone and simply stop tracking stats all together. Why would they anymore. No more money to make off of Bf2.

Not the stat servers which is what I meant. I just think they will stop tracking stats since it has become such a pain in the ass for them.jord wrote:

Stats is one of the things that has given BF2 lasting power. Cutting off stats would be like cutting of BF2's penis.SFCCDailey wrote:

ya but they dont have to employee all these people to fix all the mess if theres no stats, i would still play lol.
You have to learn the rules of the game and then you have to play better than anyone else.
I think removing stats altogether would be a good thing now. For everyone. So there was no issue with unfair resets etc. I would play it again, in fact I played today with my screwed over account and ranked up x2 in 2 kills. I hope something is done, even if it is a loss of the leaderboard.
to tell you the truth, i don´t have any feeling about it anymore, my objective always was getting all awards, and i did that several months ago.jord wrote:

Now i play for fun (or to stress out). If i get reset completely, it won´t matter, i´m just waiting for BF3.
"All these people". It probably costs a very, very small fraction to employ a small team to make EA look like they still care. Ranked servers and games sales make enough to generate profit and fund said small team. Otherwise they'd just be losing money.0akleaves wrote:

This game became addictive because of the stats (stats=life), without them, BF2 will go down rapidly. hardcore players will leave and only casual gamers will stay. With less people, then there will be less servers, nobody wants to pay for an empty server.
I think they have to do something extreme, fix and modify the stats system, and reset EVERYBODY to 0, a fresh start............................or maybe let the game die, they know will be back for BF3.
They won't do anything extreme as long as it's making money. Once it starts to get near break even, they'll jack in the stats servers and bf2 will be all but dead.Sgt. Sergio Bennet 3rd wrote:

imagine a new guy that goes out and buy the BF2 complete package, starts playing and see that hes 12 billion points away from the closest guy..........
