Had my pulled a few weeks ago.
Follow my instructions:
--Eat nothing but applesauce for the first two days. Don't even eat pudding or jello, it's too sweet.
--Move on to pudding and jello, third day after surgery.
--Do NOT eat spicy foods for two weeks following the surgery.
--Keep gauze over the extraction area **I can't stress that enough** Keep gauze on 24/7, minus when you sleep, for the first two days.
Follow those instructions, and you'll be fine.
God speed.
It's not
that bad, is it?
My mom's friend says her daughters were eating burgers 2 days after they got their pulled.
Two hours for me. If you are a bigger person, or your teeth are big, be sure that the roots from the Wisdom teeth aren't long enough to be grown into the sinus'. You get liquids into a Wisdomtooth/sinus-hole, you'll be on the floor, TRUST ME. The dentist should be able to see it, or, if you can feel AIR coming into your mouth while sucking on a straw, and the air coming from the hole, then you know. WIERD FEELING.
Other than that, it's not bad. Compare it to a stubbed toe a minute or two after "FUCK THAT HURT". It's nagging, but i'd rather have that pain than a bad headache TBH.
Cry like a girl and they give you opiate prescriptions YAY!. Like I said, I was eating food, fast food about two hours afterward, not a great idea, the wound won't heal fast, but it won't kill you. It just made it bleed andf the healing take longer.
keep the gauze WET, And replace it often, as much as the dentist says. Don't worry, it's not bad.
if you smoke DO NOTNOTNOTNOTNOTNOT smoke until it heals. I have NEVER seen that end well. you'll get a dry spot, with an infection. I have seen brave men reduced to little girls because they smoked after they had teeth pulled.
With about fifteen teeth pulled, I have the experience and confidence to say "follow the rules, and you'll be fine"
