Ok it's snowing. I'm going to give up posting updates as the weather changes every 5 minutes. I'll be perm-banned for spam and then I'll be accused of trying to undermine the weatherman, which is always a serious offence in these parts.
Doesn't "Spring" start on the first of the month?Mek-Izzle wrote:

Wasn't yesterday the 1st official day of Spring
I don't know about you guys and your Southern Hemisphere but Spring or the Vernal Equinox "officially" started on the 20th of MarchDrunkFace wrote:

thats mad, just watching the spurs v pompy game and there is snow falling down on white heart lane north london
Makes sense... but we're to fucking lazy for that and the equinox/solstices don't coincide with our seasons, because technically we have 6 (or 2 depending on who you speak to). So the 4 "seasons" are just broken into 3 moths each.Mek-Izzle wrote:

* Summer: December to February
* Autumn: March to May
* Winter: June to August
* Spring: September to November
Plus the equinox/solstices change (although slowly)... which is just another needlessly added complication :p to something we make so easy.
It was snowing up here in Scotland as well. Our weather is messed up. Snowing a bit this morning too.
You should see Birmingham, 4 times its snowed today. It didn't stick though.

all we got from that system is:

thank you Holland and good night
whats the deal with that. Something about Holland just being the name of a region and not the whole county?
as I live in South Holland, you can where I live.jord wrote:

@Gun, Holland was an old province (now North & South Holland) was the most powerful province, basically what the Brits fought against in our "golden years"
and yes Holland is basically just the west of The Netherlands (biggest population etc)
but Holland IS NOT the same as The Netherlands if you wanna go all technical, but who cares right?

I see, Holland = Important bits of The Netherlands
Like how Americans always refer to the UK as England, because England is the important bit

I refer to the UK as the UK. I refer to England as England (usually swallowing Wales with it). I refer to Scotland as Scotland. I refer to Ireland and N. Ireland as Ireland.
