Hello all been registered for awhile but thought I might post, also to say G'day,

Yes it's quite sad when you play this game for a long time and someone wants to be a tard but oh well they get jollies for a couple of minutes before they get kicked and banned form the servers they do it on, well in Australia anyway don't know how diligent overseas servers are.

If anyone here doesn't knows how the name hack thing works, this how it works-

the name showing in server when you click on it or use raycasters webpage will always point to the stats page of the player name cheating, as how else do they cover there real identity and get there stats at the same time, I'm guessing being an Internode BF2 Admin I have pissed someone off.

So I seem to have picked up a fan.

This isn't the case.

A namehack can do two things, well haxing4lifes and 187's do the same thing. They can hack the PID and a username. I've never seen anyone do it, however I think MAYBE it might of been done like this, I don't even know if it's possible, but:

Person inserts Afrojaps PID into the name hack.
Person inserts your name into the name hack.

So -- this would appear to be you playing and you'd have the stats of afrojap, it would be very hard to find out who was doing this hack. You would have to try and find the players GuID and match it to a website of clans/ban lists.

Most admins at this stage should just ban the person's hash, that way the player is banned via CDkey and can't reconnect unless he gets a new one.

Well apart from seeing the names, there are a number of ways to tell who it really is, but I won't go into that as at Internode we have NDA we all signed as Admins. So I'm not able to give anything away.
